Uncommonly beauty

  • 5 of 5

Umbria is a beautiful country which made our legs very tired but relaxed our souls, eyes and thoughts. Tenuta di Casa Bruciata and „our“ apartment Colombaccio was of an uncommonly beauty. Because of the green surroundings, nature, birds, view, peace and friendly attitude of the owners in every moment we look forward to come again. They showed us how to prepere Umbria's specialties, we tested excellent wines and olive oil, we lighted the fire in the ancient fireplace every evening and enjoyed every moment. Those morning fogs, just bofore the sunrise, were unforgettable pictures of the untouched nature that was surrounding us. In addition, a lot of cultural places in vicinity make it easy to go for a lot of interesting and beautiful day trips. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience and see you soon.

Live Local In Italy And Love It

  • 5 of 5

We joined family and friends for two unforgettable weeks in the Umbrian hills. My husband enjoyed the peace and quiet - there was plenty of that - and I loved day trips to fabulous places like Florence, Pisa and Perugia nearby. Living in the old stone houses was wonderful, especially as the bathrooms were very modern.

We lived local, cooking most of our own meals from fresh local produce (including truffles delivered to our door) and drinking their fabulous wines. There was even a vegetable and herb garden on-site for our use. When we needed a restaurant the owners produced pizzas, barbecues and amazing five-course banquets. It is my dream to return. We travelled half way across the planet to get there and it was worth every kilometre, every dollar, every minute.

Great holiday

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful place for big reunions. We were three families with children between 11 and 18 years old and grandparents! The place is big enough to have your own space but very easy to get together for meals outside. A place where all ages felt comfortable. You definitely need a car and there are some lovely places to visit in the area if you do not want to just relax and sit at the pool.

very tranquil place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with 3 families and 3 generations in each. Lots of space and room to relax without getting on top of each other. We are repeat visitors but this time we stayed the longest. Good food and wine available locally and the bbq facilities are fantastic as is the restaurant if you plan to be catered for. The meals are great.

The rooms are clean tidy and functional while retaining the Tuscan/Umbrian charm.

There are lots of good walks on the property or for the more adventurous the local peaks aee a must do.

Escape the hustle and bustle

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our 9th annual retreat at Casa Bruciata. When we started holidaying at Casa Bruciata the kids were toddlers and now they are teenagers. The kids still enjoy it just as much now as they did in 2006. We have already booked again for next year.

Great location to visit Umbrian and Tuscan hill towns or wineries. Florence is only a 2 hour drive.

In the past few years we have risen to challenge and hiked (2 hrs) to the top of neighbouring Monte Acuto for those that like to break into a sweat!
