Overview

Estes Park Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Discover 'Rocky Mountain Tranquility' at our luxury retreat on the Big Thompson River, only a mile from Rocky Mountain National Park, in Estes Park, Colorado.  Perfect for your family vacation or a girlfriend getaway! Our home has central air conditioning - hard to find in Estes Park. You can fish right outside the back door, but this is not your father's fishing lodge... Our 1800 ft2 riverfront duplex-style condo (in Park River West) is modern and up-to-date. The home has a dramatic two-story layout with light-filled rooms and hardwood floors on the main level.

Our home was not affected by the September (2013) flood event in Estes Park. Although we are located next to the Big Thompson River, our back deck is about 80 feet from its banks - close enough to hear its pleasant babbling but safely above its flood plain. The river today is just as beautiful as ever.

Because we, the owners, personally manage the rental of our home, you can expect to get rapid response, accurate answers to your questions, and a problem-free vacation. We live only one hour from Estes Park, and we keep a close eye on our vacation home.

Enjoy our open floor plan with master bedroom suite (king-sized bed) on the main level.  The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the great room and features granite countertops with a breakfast bar.  Our dining table seats six comfortably.  The sun-filled great room has comfortable furniture, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, vaulted ceilings and a river rock gas fireplace.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a cozy loft.  One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the other has two extra-long twins.  The loft has a sofa and rocking chair, another flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a large table for games, puzzles, or laptop use (with wireless high-speed internet).

All three bedrooms have comfortable beds and black-out window coverings.

Enjoy beautiful views from every room.  Central air conditioning and ceiling fans make hot summer days more comfortable.

Pine trees line the river outside our back door.  Deer and elk are frequent visitors.  The sunny deck is great for outdoor dining, watching wildlife, or just relaxing to the sounds of the river and the whispering pines.  Deck furniture and a gas grill are provided. Our neighborhood provides benches and picnic tables along the river for your use.  In addition, we have lightweight folding lawn chairs that you may take next to the river for a relaxing afternoon in the shade.

Choose a movie from our large collection of family-friendly DVDs and watch on one of our three flat-screen TVs.  Plug your ipod into the docking station (in great room) and listen to your music in one, some, or all of the rooms.  We also have plenty of books, puzzles, and board games for you to enjoy.  We provide four tennis racquets for your use at the high school courts.  For dining out and shopping, the charming village of Estes Park is only a mile away.

Your cell phone should work here, but we have a land-line just in case.

Although Colorado usually gets lots of sunshine, we occasionally have spells of bad weather. After one rainy week in early June, we read this entry in our Guest Book: 'We are very sorry to take up three pages of your Guest Book, but we enjoyed your home so much that multiple family members felt the need to share their thoughts and thanks. Your home is absolutely beautiful. As you know, we could not have picked four days of worse weather. Your home saved our trip.'

About Kathy

We are fifty-something empty-nesters who live about an hour from Estes Park. We have lived in Colorado since 1979. Both native New Yorkers, we met during our college years at SUNY Fredonia, but moved to Colorado a week after our wedding. We now have two grown children, one living in Denver, one in Chicago.

Kathy purchased this condo in 2008

Why Kathy chose Estes Park

We love the charming little town of Estes Park, gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Our condo is in a quiet neighborhood, right on the Big Thompson River, with abundant wildlife and picturesque views. It offers easy access to town and to the national park.

What makes this condo unique

It would be a shame to allow our Estes Park home to sit empty most of the year, so we love sharing our home with other people. You help us pay the bills and we provide a tranquil and spacious 'home away from home' for your vacation.

We travel a lot ourselves, and wherever we go, we expect our accomodations to be clean, comfortable, and convenient. That is exactly what we strive to provide in our vacation home. We want you to have the most restful and relaxing vacation ever!

Five-Star home in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have stayed in many rental properties both in the summer and the winter and we can tell you that this is an exceptional home that the owner takes pride in and passes down to their quests. It was a "home away from home" in every way with first class amenities and beautiful decor. It was very comfortable and quiet and is located in the perfect location to either go into the town of Estes Park or into Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. We would recommend this home to anyone who can appreciate what the owner has to offer it's quests.

Beautiful place! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this fantastic place for six days. The place was very clean and did not lack any amenities. It was a large place for the two of us, but we liked the reviews left by other guests. One day we had at least fifty elks in the front and back yard, that was amazing! The location is very close to the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park where we also saw an abundance of wild life. We found the place very centrally located and not very far from other cities, such as Boulder that we visited at least twice. We have stayed in many other VRBO properties including US, Europe and Israel, and this is definitely one of the best.

Thank you so much.

An Exception Home in an Incredible Location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were immediately awestruck by this amazingly beautiful and well kept home. We have rented many VBRO properties, but by far, this one is the most impressive we have ever experienced. It is clear that the owner take exceptional pride in ensuring that their guest have every comfort and amenity while staying at this vacation home. The location is almost centered between the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and the town of Estes Park (just a right or left turn and a few minutes away). Additionally, the owner provided a wealth of information from books, maps, attractions, history, etc, that enhanced our stay. The owner was also available, at a moments notice, to answer any questions that arose and even sent us a text of a road closure in the Park during our stay. We cannot give enough accolades to the owner for allowing us to experience their beautiful home and property, and for ensuring that our experience was beyond our greatest expectations.

Tranquility, First Class!

  • 5 of 5

We have rented many VRBO properties, from the US to Europe and many Caribbean Islands in between, but none of them are as well appointed or stocked as this one. The owners have furnished this 3 BR with style and grace. They have also left the cupboards jammed with practically all the condiments even a TV chef could want. The bathrooms are also well supplied. The location is fantastic. The river is a few steps from the back deck, and town is a quick drive or nice walk up the road. Better yet, RMNP and its several roads leading to different park locations are all less than 5 minutes from the door. If you can afford it, you'll love it.

Best Stay Ever

  • 5 of 5

I am almost hesitant to give this condo and our hosts the review they deserve, because I'm afraid it will become so popular we won't be able to have a return visit! From beginning to end our stay was so relaxing and enjoyable-everything you can think of needing is provided, including an amazing selection of family-approved DVD's. The walking path and picnic table by the river is so peaceful, and the awesome grill made it so easy to throw on some steaks for an easy dinner. We will definitely be back!

Look no further for a great stay

  • 5 of 5

We have rented several VRBO properties. This one was by far the best.

1. Great location -- on the river with trail, close to town, close to RMNP

2. Nice furniture, comfortable beds

3. Newer kitchen appliances, plates, silverware, etc.

4. Very clean

5. Everything is marked for easy use

6. Flat screen TVS in living room, master bedroom, upstairs with satellite and DVD players -- great for relaxing after long day in the Rockies

7. Roomy

8. Big clean garage and opener

I think we'll be back!
