This was the most delightful trip our family has ever taken. This unit at the Mahana was TO DIE for!!! All the photos & the condo previews did not prepare us for how ENCHANTED the place really was, with EVERY creature comfort & accomodation one could ask for, stem to stern! Without exaggeration, the condo was a dream come true. Traveling with my 11 & 16 year olds, I was awaiting "picky critics" from the kids . . . . "Bed to hard mom" . . . . or "TV's not large enough mom". NOT A CHANCE!!! The beds had memory-foam mattress liners & were exquis itely comfortable, & the two televisions in the condo were LARGE SCREEN plasmas!!! The kitchen was fully loaded with every cooking utensil, spices, pots, pans, a blender, coffee maker & wonderful eating & drinking-ware!! Even coolers for keeping drinks cool on the beach. Every drawer had what you'd need, as though YOU lived there, and there book cabinet was stocked with more reading choices than one could dream of. Music, games, beauty needs & even surprise wine in the cupboard!!! This was a thoroughly & lovingly appropriated condo, none of the likes have I ever found elsewhere. The pièce de résistance had to be THE VIEW .. .. .. OMG!!! If you could imagine the most awe inspiring sunset, EVERY DAY, from the living room of your condo, without a single obstacle in your way, then you will understand the enchantment of this space. No words can accurately describe the majesty of that view, of the multi-colored painted sky & burning sun, as it dropped into the ocean & faded into the horizon. And oh, falling asleep every night, with the veranda doors ajar, safely up 5 floors, to the sound of the gentle waves crashing softly on the shore . . . This was truly paradise.
The market, to stock up on food or rent a video, the ABC store to buy souveniers, a Farmer's Market to purchase fresh fruits & veggies from, a great pizzaria & a hip little jazz-night club, ALL A 5 MINUTE WALK FROM THE CONDO!!!!! There's a shuttle stop 2 minutes from the condo, that will take you to town; Whaler's Village, Front Street, the Aquarium. EVERYTHING IS ACCESSIBLE. Don't have to rent a car!!!!!!
Thank you to the lovely Aston Mahana for it's being ON THE OCEAN, essentially. What's more, thank you to the owners of this wonderful condo, for the experience of a lifetime.
