Why Turtle Cove Cottage? Consider this vacation rental for a relaxing stay to take in splendid fall color and events.
The central, mid-Cape location in the Bass River neighborhood of South Yarmouth makes an easy drive to all the fantastic, fall festivals from Bourne to Wellfleet.
Near both fresh-water pond and ocean beaches, this shingled classic is delightfully reminiscent of an old Cape Cod summer cottage.
Yet contemporary upgrades like central, forced air heat and AC make this vintage home an enticing and comfortable year-round retreat.
When it comes to comfort, you will marvel at the plush beds with soft, cotton sheets—equal to the quality found in exclusive hotels.
Sure to please is the custom bath with jetted, spa shower--a touch of luxury to indulge the senses and soothe tired muscles!
Gather in the roomy, kitchen for a meal or game of cards.
From the Keurig coffee maker to the All-Clad cookware, guests enjoy the same amenities we owners do. We don’t skimp on the furnishings!
The cheerful, sky-lit living room with the cozy fireplace will compel you to curl up with a good book or movie.
If you feel like staying in, the HDTV plus DVR recorder and BRD/DVD/CD player offer hours of entertainment possibilities.
Yet one of those warm, sunny, autumn afternoons may lure you outside to lounge on the wood deck overlooking the spacious back yard.
You can decide to linger there until dusk to grill dinner on one of the Webers (propane or charcoal) or over the in-ground fire-pit.
Yet a vacation is not complete without the family dog. Yours will be most welcome and will love to romp in the fully-fenced yard.
Take him on a leisurely walk in this canine-friendly neighborhood or for a game of water-fetch at nearby Long Pond.
You might try your fishing luck as the Pond is a favorite of local anglers who catch trout, pickerel and, once-in-awhile, a trophy, large-mouth bass.
Maybe you'd like to take a ride on one of our beach bikes through colorful, oak-lined, streets.
Or explore a nearby, wooded trail . . . or play a game of golf . . . or join in a song at O'Sheas--our family-friendly, neighborhood, Irish pub . . .
The possibilities are endless and all the more appealing after the summer crowds are gone!
Comprehensive, information binders including a 200+ page, insider's, activity guide to help you plan your stay awaits your arrival.

Guestbook comments from the owner
House is adorable...instructions on how to use the TV was so helpful, the [guide]book was unbelievable and everything was well thought out...you obviously put a lot of work and thought into the house and it showed...the beds were VERY COMFORTABLE.
We are Judith and Doug Saum, a recently retired couple whose primary home is in Reno, NV. We love living in the mountains of the West, but wanted to have a place to have a place to stay when we visit our son and family who live year-round in nearby Dennis on Cape Cod.
The classic Cape feel with updated comfort, the playful personality--all too much to resist! Not only is it a great vacation home for us, our grand-kids love coming over to spend the night at 'turtle house', as they call it.
Location, location, location! The quiet area with friendly neighbors. The proximity to Long Pond for taking a quick swim. The short drive to area beaches. The easy walk to restaurants and grocery store. The central location makes it easy to get anywhere on Cape Cod. Need we say more?
