Fully refreshed 2700 square foot home with open floor plan; vaulted ceilings, and lots of windows to open view to garden and oak-studded hills. Very large flagstone patio with dining for 12, hot tub, and gazebo which provides a beautiful garden setting for entertaining and relaxation. Property recently fully repainted and updated inside and out.
This house is conveniently located near downtown Napa (including Oxbow Market and numerous restaurants and winery tasting rooms) in the exclusive Montecito Heights neighborhood in Napa. Although close to downtown you will be just minutes to vineyards and wineries.
This vacation rental is one of a limited number of legal short-term vacation rental properties in Napa County. As you can see, the property receives excellent reviews, is located in an exclusive neighborhood and woodsy neighborhood, and has a great open floor plan for gathering with friends and family both inside and out.
I originally redesigned this home for raising my children and relaxing with friends. I've since remarried and moved elsewhere in the Napa Valley, but I'm pleased to offer this as a great vacation rental for families, or other groups looking for a modestly priced, high quality home. We had a lovely stay in Napa at this beautiful house for a girls' weekend. The house has everything you could possibly need. We were all thrilled by how comfortable the beds and pillows were, and it was great to have a bunch of different spaces where people could hang out. The stay included an hour of concierge services from Concierge of the Valley which was a huge asset - Crystal-Rose helped us secure a driver and arranged for our fridge to be fully stocked before we arrived. The location is close to downtown Napa which is great to check out local restaurants and markets. Chuck and Tina made the booking process easy and clear. Any of us would book again in a heartbeat. The house was perfect for five couples! Prior to renting I was concerned about one reviewers comments regarding the "curfew". Based on the price, location, and the fact that all five couples would have their own room, we decided to rent it anyway. The Napa Ordinance regarding quiet times was clearly stated in the rental agreement, so there was absolutely no surprise. We were perfectly fine coming inside prior to the quiet times. Based on the size of the interior, we were able to hang out inside through the night without any problem. It was a non-issue for us. We all agreed that we would definitely rent this property again. Additionally, the property manager set us up with a private chef for dinner one night. I highly recommend if you feel like staying in one night.
We booked this house for a girl's vacation (6 women). The location was good, the property was nice and, overall, we liked the house. A few things that we learned that we feel others should know about: one of the neighbors apparently hates that this place is a vacation rental. Supposedly he'll complain at the drop of a hat. Upon arrival we were told that we must be inside the house by 10 pm. If the neighbor were to call and complain to the owner or police we'd get a $300 fine. We are adults. We wouldn't have been throwing a raging party...but we would have been liked to be treated like adults and enjoy the use of the patio and the hot tub until whatever time we wanted. This made us feel that we were children and restricted to a curfew. Had we known this (which we weren't told until we showed up) we wouldn't have rented the property. Who wants to get away from their kids and husbands for a week, meet up with old friends from across the country and feel like they're under restriction?
Finally, the owner needs to fix a few items: 1) the shower drain in the main hallway was extremely backed up. It's gross having three women share a shower and stand in water from the person who showered before you. This happened on day 1 - so it wasn't us that caused it. 2) the water filter and ice maker on the fridge doesn't work. We were told the owner knows but won't replace the fridge b/c it still works. Well, 'work' is a term I'll use loosely. The fridge cools but doesn't keep things as cold as a fridge should. We were also forced to buy ice and water jugs. Seems a fridge is a small investment for one who cares about the comfort and needs of the guests renting from them.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, felt the property served us well - but we would have probably booked elsewhere just for the scrooge neighbor threat.
We were so pleased with the Montecito home - lots of light, space and amenities. The back yard is set up nicely for meals, conversation or a quiet escape. But the best news is that the earthquake that hit only a few miles away from this home did little damage to anything inside. We all felt a tremendous jolt in our individual bedrooms and only found one broken pottery vase and a couple of pictures shaken from the walls. We found out that the property manager actually drove by the house around 6:00am to make sure we were ok and the home owner (without hesitation) refunded back the last night we were unable to stay due to concerns for aftershocks further damaging roads back to San Francisco. We look forward to a return visit as this is just a great house and location for touring the Napa wine country.
This rental provided the perfect setting for a college roommate reunion. The property was well designed, roomy, comfortable and was a great setting for casual eating and conversation. Our group had a fantastic time here and suited our needs to a "t". We would definitely recommend this location to anyone searching for a great central NAPA Valley location with all the amenities. We rented this house with 4 couples, 2 singles, and an infant. It was plenty big for everyone to have their own space (less on single slept on the couch). We used the backyard quite a bit as they had a HUGE patio table. The transactions with the owner was easy and they are great to work with as we needed the contract adjust to accommodate an infant (5 weeks old).
No complaints. We all agreed we would definitely stay here again.
Napa is the urban hub of the Napa Valley and the new beginning to the true 'wine country'.
