This charming 1 bedroom apartment on 2nd floor of an authentic period Parisian building from the early 1700, is located in the center of Paris attractions. It is a few meters away from the Louvre, rue Saint Honore, and the church of Saint Roch. Major attractions within walking distance are river Sein, the Palais Royal, the Tuileries gardens, Place Vendome, Madeleine Church, and the beautiful Place de la Concorde at the base of the Champs Elysees. There is a Farmers market every Saturday, and many restaurants and cafes. The inside is elegant and tastefully decorated with antique furniture and comfort amenities.
We just spent a couple of weeks in this apartment and found the stay very pleasant.
The location is superb. Many of the best known attractions are within walking distance, so we spent the first few days exploring the area on foot. The louvre is right around the corner. The Tuileries Gardens are across the street. The children did not mind the walk at all. We strolled along the Seine River, went to the Arc de Triomphe, and had a look at the fancy Galleries Lafayette.
The longer we stayed at the apartment, the more we liked it. The bed is very comfortable, and it is a big plus to be able to cook and do laundry. I like antique furnishings and the owner certainly did an excellent job giving it a period theme. The champagne and flowers on arrival are a lovely welcome gesture. Monoprix is close by and we quickly stocked the fridge up with what we needed. The caretaker came at the end of the first week and changed the linens and towels, but their wardrobe is well stocked with fresh towels and linens. I utilized the laundry machines a few times and the vacuum cleaner as I prefer to keep the living quarters clean. The dark coloured table cloth gets dirty easily, and I wasn't able to find a replacement.
On the second week, we took advantage of the convenient metro system and ventured further. Paris is a magical city that requires more time than just two weeks to appreciate. We definitely would like to return.
We really enjoyed staying in the apartment.
The apartment is large and very convenient for families (2 adults + 2 children (14,10)).
The apartment is highly maintained and we could found every thing we need upon arrival - and that was a relief after the long journey.
The great place allowed us to have a rest during the day - which is a great advantage traveling with children.
Last, but not least, the worm welcome of Ghassan and Allen.
They were 100% available for any request we had, they were flexible in many things and gave us the feeling we are welcome. This was a great pleasure.
we really loved this place. its perfectly furnished, extremely comfortable bed with great linens, very well organised and the attention to detail was really appreciated (boxes of tissues, soaps and shampoos, body lotion,). the location is amazing - a stones throw from the Jardin Tuileries with excellent local restaurants tucked away on this lovely serene street. the information given before arrival was accurate and timely and very useful reference for good neigbourhood places to eat. The manager of thea partment met with us on time and did an efficient orientation. This is a large and comfortable two person apartment by european standards and we were delighted to spent the weekend here. cant imagine going anywhere else next time. Two things that would be good to have - CNN and a hairdryer :)). thank you for the very nice stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will certainly be back! Ghassan was excellent to deal with even called after we had settled in for a day to confirm we were content with the apartment and insure all our questions were answered! We were traveling with our 2 1/2 year old son and the space was perfect!
Thank you for allowing us to spend a few days in your Paris flat. The location was prefect! We walked everywhere. The place was large, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty of hot water. We were very comfortable. The bottle of wine was a pleasant surprise – many thanks. We tried several of your dinner recommendations and especially enjoyed Auberge Saint Roch. Rustic and very good. Your caretaker, Allen, was very helpful and punctual. A great “home-base” in Paris.
TIP: Watch the scammer and pick-pockets outside the museums. Some will approach with a "survey or petition" but are collecting money for the disabled or Africa or many other causes. Or, they find a 'gold' ring in front of you that they then want to sell you....all a scam. Just say no!
