A beautiful home in Gold Canyon, this location offers all the amenities of a big city, yet sits in the secluded Gold Canyon Community. With Superstition Mountain in the back yard, you can sit in the private pool all day and watch the Arizona wildlife. Or, as evening approaches, listen to the coyotes while cooking your favorite BBQ item. As darkness arrives, relax on the patio couch or float in the hot tub and star gaze (Gold Canyon has no street lights - ground lighting only to minimize light pollution).

A golfers paradise, Gold Canyon hosts 4 golf courses from 2 star to LPGA (pick your green fee) all within a golf cart drive away. To the east is Superstition Mountain, with hiking and sightseeing. To the north is the National forest, with mountain lakes and rivers with all the water sports that go with it. To the west is greater Phoenix (10 Minutes) including fine dining, theatre, pro sports (NBA, MLB, NFL, College, NHL, Nascar, LPGA, PGA) and a shoppers dream come true.

Stay at home, go out on the town, or spend the day hiking. It's all here and you'll love it. We do!

About The Owner

We are two families with teenagers that own this home. Working hard and running with the kids, we are always looking for an opportunity to get away and be just a family again. We love it here, but the downside is we can't be here all the time. We're sure you'll enjoy this place as well. Have fun

Why The Owner chose Gold Canyon

We looked at literally 100's of homes in the greater Phoenix area. We fell in love with Gold Canyon. Just on the Eastern edge, it gives you the feel of a real vacation, secluded from the hustle and bustle of freeways and power centers. That being said, it is only 10 minutes away from the heart of mainstream shopping, dinning, and city entertainment. One of our top priorities was a backyard with a view, not a fence. Enough said.

What makes this house unique

We have to comment on the private pool. We debated about whether a community pool was good enough. Not!! Even though this house is only a block away from the community pool, the convenience of a backyard pool is second to none. Sometimes 5 minutes is enough, or maybe 5 hrs. Second comment - the view. You can sit in the backyard, listen to the wildlife, and stare at the majestic Superstition mountain and feel like your the only one around.

We spent a month at this well equipped, nicely situated home in Gold Canyon. We hoped to be able to swim in the pool during our time in January, but even with the pool heated it was too cool to use. We did use the hot tub on a few occasions. The backyard is nicely landscaped and it backs up to a natural area where we saw roadrunners, quails and coyotes. The placement of the house gives complete privacy in the backyard. There is a view of Superstition mountain which is breathtaking. We plan on visiting this house again, next year.

We just spent the week of Christmas 2011 at this property. It was fantastic. The home has a great floor plan that worked with us, our three adult children, one son-in-law, and our 15 month old granddaughter. We were having a family reunion and rented 3 homes in Gold Canyon and ours was definately the best. The owners answered all our needs in regards to crib, high chair, etc. The pool area was beautiful. The patio heaters didn't work so we weren't able to spend much time outside in the evenings. The views from the patio are amazing. The house is clean, well equipped and a location which afforded a great view. There is little sun on the pool this time of year so it was well worth paying the extra to have the pool heated. The only negative thing was having to put clean sheets on bed before we left. We would rent this property again and recommend it highly.
