This Hollywood Vacation Rental will become your home away from home whenever you return to Los Angeles. This is a separate cottage on our property. The pictures say it all (think twelve foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances and granite counters), but keep reading. We're in an urban area, but on a quiet residential street. The cottage is gated. What more could you want? You are encouraged to email or call us with any questions.
We are a dog-friendly property. You'll have a separate dog run off your own private deck. We understand the desire to travel with all your 'family' members.
The property is located blocks from everything you come to Hollywood for: restaurants, shopping, landmarks like the Hollywood Sign and the Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Sunset Blvd, Hollywood Blvd, and Vine Street are all so close. We scored 95 out of 100 for walkability on WalkScore!
Oh, did I forget to mention theater and concerts? The Kodak Theatre, The Palladium, Pantages Theatre, Music Box, The Greek Theatre, Hollywood Bowl, and John Anson Ford Amphitheater are all close. You also have access to the best Farmer's Market on Sundays here in Hollywood only three blocks away.
Hollywood is a great base for seeing all of Los Angeles. We're convenient to Downtown LA, Hancock Park, Larchmont, Melrose, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, the famed Southern California Beaches and the San Fernando Valley (including Studio City, Toluca Lake, Burbank, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, North Hollywood, etc.).

This property is really great, it's clean and very well decorated, right in the middle of Hollywood yet has secured (behind an electronic gate) parking. Scott Campbell is very organized and the whole process of arrival/departure is easy and efficient. We will be back and recommend this to anyone travelling to LA.
I selected this unit because of the reviews and location. As a 15+ year renter of VRBO properties, I have come to expect that what is listed by the owners and the guest reviews are very accurate. This bungalow is very tastefully decorated and maintained, as well as have all the amenties (including board games, cards) of a vacation retreat. They thought of everything! Great location is an understatement. We spent a week here and everyday was full. We walked at least a mile or more everyday in the Hollywood area and also had a car (gated parking felt like parking in my own garage, a huge plus) because we love to explore. The owner's recommendations of restaurant and venues is priceless. We appreciated the detail information (restaurants/venus) compiled and directions/maps provided because it introduce more ideas of things to do. Although we have been in LA many times before, this was our first time staying in the area. There is absolutely nothing I can add to sell potential renters on this bungalow that has not already been said. Come see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
My wife and I stayed in this delightful bungalow for 4 nights after our cruise ship arrived in LA. It really has everything: a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, satellite TV, wi-fi, and is very well maintained. Lots of good places to eat and shop nearby. An excellent base for visiting the LA area.
When you read all of the reviews, you wonder can these all be true? They are!
Great location, secure parking, very clean, personable host, very comfortable bed, spacious, decently equipped kitchen and the unit shows well. You are within walking distance of a Walgreen's and Trader Joe's, as well as an excellent wine shop, K&L Wine Merchants. If you are there on a Sunday AM, you must go to the Hollywood Farmer's Market. We didn't have a cell phone, but there is a pay phone near the corner on Vine. Although we rented a car, we took the bus and rode the subway. Both are relatively convenient to catch from this property.
This was our first visit to LA. Our highlights were listening to the LA Philharmonic at Walt Disney Hall, the Getty Museum and Hollywood Farmer's Market. After a day of sightseeing, there is nothing more comforting to come back to this unit, relax with a glass of wine and supper we picked up on the way home. Life doesn't get much better than that!

The Sunset/Vine rental was ideal, and a wonderful break from the usual hotel rental. Scott's place is beautifully appointed...with all the amenities you could want. Very comfortable king bed, great coffee maker, bathroom accessories, etc. The unit was amazingly quiet, even though it is just a few doors from the busy downtown Hollywood activity. Nice parking situation, behind secure gate. Scott handles the accommodation with a very professional attitude. We loved it...hope it's available next time we're in L.A.
Hollywood, CA is the center of the Entertainment Industry as well as the cultural and geographic center of Los Angeles. We are close to so many attractions, the freeways, and mass transit (did you know Los Angeles has a subway? -- We're four blocks away!).
Universal Studios is less than three miles away or two subway stops. The Walk of Fame starts three short blocks from the house. Two major studios are located on Sunset Blvd, one at the end of the street.
Other Activities: Sightseeing tours start on Hollywood Blvd, five blocks away. There are tons of places to watch theater (live and movies), eat (everything from fast food to Eva Longoria's restaurant -- Beso) and Hollywood is a great base for everything you want to do in all of Los Angeles.
