Our home furnished with antique furniture, handed-down and collected, to make you, our guests, feel at home. Yes, special care is needed to think about wet glasses on antique wood tables, but our guests usually take all this into account as they would in their own home. The house is set up for families with young children (our four grandchildren are under eight years old!). Crib, changing table, high chairs, gates, some toys and many, many books. The large backyard/garden was recently fenced for safety--there are flowers to enjoy and pathways to explore.

We are a family of four who moved to the house next door in 1970, with a 3 month old and a 20 month old. When we had a small fire in 1976 we stayed in our current house with our kind neighbors until the house was repaired. They told us they were going to sell it...and we said...'we'll buy it'! We did in 1977. We have updated many areas of the house through the years. Our children are grown and have children of their own...but they still return to our family home for celebrations and holidays. It is still furnished just the way it was-country furniture, Quimper and art we have collected. We have entrusted our home to many families in the summer who have shown the same respect they would for their own homes. We have received beautiful letters thanking us for opening our home. While this house is new to VRBO, we are not--we have rented homes in Maine-and been pleased with what we found.
This is our family home and the community that supported us while raising our children. We love Riverside, Old Greenwich and Greenwich and gather with our family for vacations and holidays.
