We love to travel to warm weather. Deserts and beaches are always our favorites. We come from the beautiful Northern Cal beach town, Santa Cruz. Our favorite activity is going out to dinner after a long day hiking in the desert or on a beach trail. We travel as often as we can but look forward to a retirement with lots of 'get aways'.
We purchased our condo in La Quinta due to our love of desert living. We looked at properties from Palm Springs to La Quinta and fell in love with the quaint charm of 'old town' La Quinta and the beautiful mountains that surround the town. The location was critical to us. From our condo we could start hiking from our front door and have fine dining right across our street in 'old town'.
When we stay in our condo we always do a little hiking and always take advantage of the local spa's (either the spa on property or up the road at La Quinta Spa and Resort or the Marriot in Palm Desert). After a day of hiking we love the dining options in La Quinta, old town or on the El Paseo. It's also nice to use our full kitchen when we're feeling a little less energetic.
