Best Family Vacation Ever!

I have had mixed experiences with VRBO rentals, but I must say, this condo was absolutely perfect. I thought it would be good, based on prior trips to Wailea at different locations, but I had no concept of how great it would be. The condo is beautiful--immaculately maintained and stocked with lots of great kitchenware. There is plenty of room to spread out for a family of four, and my kids absolutely loved it. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful--my kids loved all the plants and the stream running through the property. Best of all is the location. The condo was just a few steps from the pool and from the shops at Wailea, where I went most mornings to Honolulu Coffee Company for coffee and muffins. The pool was perfect for kids and adults. The other absolute key to this complex is that it has a designated portion of the beach with beach chair service. The Marriot, right next door, doesn't have this, so you would have to schlep towels to the beach and go "chair-less." The beach chair staff is friendly, and even at Spring Break time there was no fighting over chairs. I will never go anywhere else on Maui! Grand Wailea is a circus and way too crowded. Four Seasons is beautiful and perfect but way too expensive and impractical for a family of four. We used the kitchen for almost every meal, except a few dinners out, and the kids loved eating in or snacking by the pool. The concierge set up whale watching and a family surf lesson for us and also stocked our fridge before we arrived ($50 fee). This was honestly our best family vacation ever. I booked the condo within two days of arriving back home!
