A 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, full kitchen, dining and living room that sleeps 7.

The two- story cabin offers ample space, excellent beds and furnishings, original oil paintings by hill country artists, views that inspire, a fully stocked kitchen for a big country breakfast, a two-person whirlpool tub. It is a great place for two couples to get away for a weekend or a family is reconnect for a week in the country air. The road it is located on is not a through road so there is almost no traffic. A great place to walk and bike. We have added an outdoor hottub and a firepit. A wonderful place to sit on the balcony and look over the Palo Alto Creek Valley with a glass of wine and watch the moon rise!. If you are a bicyclist, it is the perfect location to connect to the best biking roads in the hill country. We invite you to come and retreat to little piece of Texas hill country heaven.

A beautiful place to retreat....: This is a beautiful place to let your hair down and enjoy the views of the Texas Hill Country. This cabin is located on a farm with cows, chickens, clean air, peace and quiet. It is only three miles from downtown Fredericksburg, so the shopping, restaurants, and fun are only minutes away. The beautiful amenities and full kitchen make you feel right at home. A safe place for children, a great place to bike and walk and gaze at the moon and stars. This is a great place for bicyclists because we are at the entrance point to most of the great biking roads in the Hill Country.

About Laura Jenschke

I am a professor of music. I teach private voice and am the director of the Community Music Academy at Texas Lutheran University. Daniel is a custom home builder and a rancher. We have our precious dogs, horses, cats and chickens on the property.

This property is our dream home and guest house. The trees and views are beautiful and peaceful, yet it is only 5 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg.

What makes this cabin unique

The unique benefit of this house is that it sits on a road that has no thruway which makes it almost devoid of traffic. It is a great place to ride your bike or horse and to take a peaceful walk.

There are two payments of 1/2 each of the total rental fee of your reservation. The first payment is due upon making the reservation. The second is due seven days before the arrival date. In case of cancellation, 1/2 of the fee will be returned to the guest at the time of cancellation. The fee may be transferred to another date if the guest wants to make that change.
Fees And Taxes There is a $20.00 charge for each person over the first two guests per night. There is a 13% sales tax added to each rental fee for state and county taxes.
The reservation will not be held until the first payment is received.

Lovely cabin

We recently spent the weekend in Fredericksburg for the Hill Country motorcycle rally in Luckenbach and stayed in this cabin with another couple. We were very pleased with the cabin. It was clean, the kitchen was stocked with breakfast supplies and the beds were comfortable. The cabin is a couple of miles from town but not too far. We loved that there was no street noise and sitting out on the balcony watching the livestock. The owners are a very lovely couple who we enjoyed visiting with. We will definately stay there again.

We had a great stay at the cabin and enjoyed our trip. The highlights of the accommodation for us include wonderful breakfasts with some really fresh farm eggs which were delicious, really comfortable bedrooms and nice clean bathrooms and a fantastic view from the front deck which we used for relaxing and eating dinner.

It was nice to take advantage of the charcoal grill.

The cabin is really close to Fredericksburg yet is way out in the country at the same time. The owners although on the property in an adjacent farmhouse left us to enjoy our time and were available if we had any needs

A great place to relax. Very clean and comfortable. No road noise. It is on a working farm/ranch. The kitchen was fully stocked for breakfast and even had farm fresh eggs. We would definetly staty there again and highly recommend it.

Fantastic Experience

My husband and I, along with a couple of friends, decided to take a long weekend in Fredericksburg and stayed at the Moonrise Retreat. We couldn't have been more satisfied. Although we had brought plenty of our own food, the refrigerator was stocked with your basic breakfast items, and the cabin was even cuter in person than in the pictures. The view on the balcony was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is perfectly located, being five minutes away from Main Street but far enough out in the country to sit on the balcony and not see another house for miles. We brought our dogs with us and they loved being able to run free in the country, a simple luxury we cannot give them on a daily basis. We were all so satisfied with the cabin that we plan on making this a regular trip. I really can't rave about our experience enough! Absolutely fabulous experience.
