Enjoy sunny days and beautiful sunsets from the nicest terrace in Palermo Soho; walking distance from the best restaurants, bars, boutiques, and art galleries in Buenos Aires.

Palermo Soho is the heart of the cultural and artisanal renaissance transforming this bohemian neighborhood into a hub of activity for Argentines and well-informed tourists. Argentines come to this neighborhood for a coffee, for a walk, or just to hang out.

On Saturday mornings, just out the door, there is an incredible farmer’s market where you can find the freshest produce, the best meat, and incredible cheeses. On Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday the park is lined with artisans selling everything from leather goods, independent designer fashion, artwork, jewelry, to antiques.

I personally spent over one year renovating this gorgeous 110 square meter (1100 square feet) loft. I worked hand in hand with the architects and building crews meticulously overseeing every details of the construction. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I will let you be the judge.

The first level reflects my two indulgences: cuisine and music. It includes a fully equipped hi-fi sound system with 42” Panasonic plasma, a DVD player, and cable TV. There are two IPod mini plug connections to play music throughout the house and on the terrace. It also includes high-speed cable Internet with Wi-Fi signal. The newly renovated kitchen comes fully furnished. It is equipped for you to have wine and hors d’oeuvres or if you want to, prepare a full dinner. The first level also includes a toilet.

The second level includes two bedrooms and a full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, large mirrored closet, and a split air conditioning unit. The second bedroom has a super queen-sized and a twin bed. It also includes a desk and large closet. There is a second split air conditioning unit on this level.

The crowning jewel of the loft is definitely the terrace. Inspired by Dutch architectural design, the park side of the terrace is lined with eucalyptus wood. The backside of the terrace is the envy of every Argentine who has ever set foot in the house: the parrilla (Argentine charcoal BBQ). The BBQ area is lined with terra cotta ceramic and has its own sink/food preparation area. Between the front and the back of the terrace is an outdoor shower for those hot summer days. The terrace is also connected to the sound system so you can enjoy music while lounging in the sun.

AWESOME FLAT IN PALERMO SOHO!

My wife and I, along with our 9 year-old son, had a wonderful three-night stay in this super-cool loft. We were warmly greeted by the owner, welcoming us to his beautiful three-level loft. As we settled in, we quickly felt like local hipsters living in this spacious Palermo home. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and an easy walk to the Subte metro, we felt the location was truly superb. The owner and his wife are delightful people and were very responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommended!

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

When we arrived at this apartment we were warmly greeted by the new owners (the previous owner who we had the rental contract with had omitted to tell us he had sold it). We stayed at the apartment for two weeks and as frequent visitors we were not new to the area. The area is buzzing with life, cafes, bars and the views from the roof terrace are very pleasant. However, it overlooks a park which is very noisy with barking dogs and very loud drumming and music especially over the weekend. There is a small market on Saturday and Sunday. I want to leave a fair review because I was surprised that previous reviews do not mention the noise which severely affected our sleep quality over the two weeks. So here are the good points and some areas for improvements which I know the new owners are keen to make:

Positives:
Location is good for exploring the city.
Good pleasant views to the front.
Lively bars and cafes.
Easy access to local supermarket.
The apartment is light and airy with lots of space.
Nice roof terrace with barbecue facilities.
Close to taxi rank and metro.
Cooker and washer useful.
Beds comfortable.
Wifi good.
Selection of DVD films.

Areas for improvement:
The kitchen was surprisingly worn and infested with ants which we had just about eliminated by the end of our two week stay.
The bathroom and downstairs toilet were clean with plenty of hot water but the apartment would benefit from a deep clean. Under the beds was filthy with old socks and we had to sweep up the tumble weeds of hair and fluff from the lounge.
The windows are not double glazed and the walls were very thin. The noise on the front overnight especially at the weekend meant it was impossible to sleep. Bin lorries at 3am. Market setting up at weekends at 6am.
On the back a lot of noise from parties in the garden of an adjacent apartment and a lot of noise from building work.
The two bedrooms are not very private, with only a blind separating them from the landing so if you are not very close to your friends it might not give enough privacy.
The kitchen is well equipped with gadgets e.g. coffee maker, blender, juicer but didn't have cereal bowls. The crockery all needs replacing.
Advertises cable TV but the owner couldn't make it work and didn't get back to us over the two weeks to get it working so we had no TV.

Owner's Response: HOla Erika I hope are well , we were reading your criticism of the department and again I want to apologize for the problem of birthday party tenants department floor, but unfortunately is out of our power to cancel a holiday, also I love clarify that we talked like we had you discussed with the owner to not re suceder.En regarding cleanliness surprised me much that aclaraste in criticism because the department is not found in any dirty time and also we send a person without charge to clean up the department which again would have been perfect if you had said that to the woman or to us to solve the problem at the time and we were at your disposal throughout the estadia.Te I ask if possible that this last point do not add them to your comments and we hurt a lot with the other tenants and the department is cleaned every time he goes and enters a customer (I promise to return to do a thorough cleaning of the department again and you considered that it was unable to ) . Te really appreciate the positive feedback and learn from the negatives. Thank you very much greetings

PERFECT LOCATION, AMAZING APARTMENT

We really enjoyed our time in Buenos Aires staying in this incredible loft in Palermo Soho. The location right on the plaza is perfect, there are tons of restaurants and stores close. The private roof deck was a perfect place to have a bottle of Malbec and watch the sunset. Javier was accommodating and easy to deal with. I highly recommend this neighborhood in general and this apartment in particular.

One bit of advice for visitors from the US. BA will be much much cheaper (~40%) if you bring lots of cash with you. You can find much better exchange rates than the official rate you will get from your ATM or credit card.

PARADISE!

We had such a good stay, the owner is very receptive. The loft is amazing and with a lot ot style. It was nice to be able to come back to the loft in the afternoon and relax with a good Merlot on the top floor and enjoy the beautiful sunset. It is located in Palermo Soho, defenetly the best neighbourhood of BA.
This rental is a must, we recomend it !

COMFORTABLE BEDS

Our family of five stayed here for two weeks and had a wonderful time. Pre arrival communication was excellent. Patrick is very easy to work with and was very prompt to answer all the questions we had. Janis, the lovely property manager keeps the loft immaculately clean and is always ready to help with a big smile. The loft is well designed and equipped for functionality and comfort, especially the beds. The neighborhood is charming (except for all the dog poops----a serious issue here in BA) and is walking distant to grocery stores, fruit stands, boutique shops and restaurants. There is a park in front of the loft where all the taxi drivers take their coffee breaks so getting a taxi is super easy. There is also a small Saturday farmer's market right in front of the house where you can get fresh fruits and homemade sausages and fish for a fraction of the price that you might get at the local stores. We made fresh OJ everyday from the oranges we got at the farmer's market and the fish we got was fresh and delicious. Persicco, the ice cream store is just down the street and is open until 3am for those who wants to indulge after midnight. Patrick has an extensive list of recommended restaurants in the area in a folder at the loft and they were spot on. Of the restaurants we tried, we like Sarkis, Don Julio, La Cabrera, Damiana, Siga la Vaca and El Establo----all down to earth, simple, fresh food.
