This was our third consecutive year at this location and it was better than ever! The location is absolutely wonderful with a great view of the inlet, the boats and the sunsets over the water! We took advantage of the kayaks that the owner provides to meander through the Cape May Harbor and the Cape May Canal. The owner provided a few bikes and we went to bike rides to the ocean and along the boardwalk each morning. We walked just a few hundred feet down the road and enjoyed a dolphin watching cruise that was fun for the kids and adults. We went to the Cape May Zoo one day (a must do) and went to the boardwalk at Wildwood where the kids enjoyed all the rides, food, and activities. And did I mention the ocean? We went there everyday. And as a bonus, the owner provides beach tags!
As much fun as we had going places and doing things, our absolute favorite activity was just sitting on the deck at the house. It is so peaceful and beautiful. There is simply no other place in Cape May that allows you to enjoy the closeness of the ocean with the peacefulness of isolation.
As has been our experience all 3 times, the house was immaculate when we arrived. We pulled up, entered the house, put our luggage and supplies in the elevator and unloaded everything on the second and third floors. With elderly folks in their 80's, the elevator is a great feature. But its also great when you arrive and when you leave. Who wants to carry luggage, coolers, etc. up one or two flights of stairs?
We find the layout to work extremely well for our family. With 2 bedrooms on the second floor and three on the third floor, the home is spacious and easily accommodating for 10. The kitchen is great and along with the gas grill on the deck, we found it easy to eat many of our meals at home. The family room is an extension of the kitchen so the whole family easily mingled and hung out together. We can honestly say that after 3 years staying here, this place feels like home to us now. We can't wait to come back next year!
The owners are the best! They always provide the best service and really care that their guests enjoy themselves. This year we got to meet them in person for the first time. They are absolutely wonderful people.
Yes, we always enjoy ourselves here. But 2014 was the best...not the least of which the owners made happen themselves!
We highly recommend staying here!
This was our second year staying at this terrific rental. The sunsets from the deck were memorable and the house is immaculate. The 4 bedrooms, other than the large and lavish master, were all comfortable and totally equal which made dividing up between 5 couples very easy. Any problems or requests were responded to within the same day. We hope to return another year.
We stayed here last week, along with our families, for our wedding in Cape May. The house was in great condition, had two decks and a porch and a well equipped kitchen that was easy to work in (we cook a lot). The house provides linens and towels, and when we arrived there was an ample supply of paper goods, cleaning supplies, spices etc so we didn't have to make a huge grocery trip.
One of my favorite features was the INCREDIBLE master bedroom on the top floor which was (lucky for us) designated the bridal suite. It has very high vaulted ceilings, a king sized bed and private bath. And it was large enough to hold all of our miscellaneous wedding stuff.
The house was located about a 10 minute bike ride to the beach, just around the corner from the Lobster House, with awesome views of the bay.
During our booking process Deb was very helpful, friendly and accessible. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and would recommend the house to anyone.
Top notch vacation in Cape May. Location is highly recommended for rental. Place was literally on the water. Walking distance to other beaches. Interior was amazing and very clean with 5 bedrooms 3 and 1/2 bathrooms. Top of the line kitchen appliances and entertainment system but who needs that with amazing scenic view and nightly sunset. Can't wait to go back!!!
Have you been on this site looking at houses like crazy trying to decide where you want to stay? That is what I did for weeks. I chose this house for a number of reasons and I couldn't be happier. The views, the elevator, the spacious 2 car garage, the kitchen, the master bath, the patios, everything was amazing. Nobody talks about the appliances, but everything is first class, including the owner. Deb was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be returning to this property. The location was perfect, quiet, yet close enough to bike ride into the little town. We used the kayaks and had a chance to see the bald eagle, which nests in view from the balcony.
All and all, if there were 10 stars I would rate it a 10. We will definitely be coming back to stay again next year!
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at this waterfront duplex. The property is well maintained and the home, spotless. The owner was available for our every question and gave us several recommendations to make our stay the best it could be. I highly recommend this property. We walked all around Cape May, rode bikes, enjoyed a whale watching excursion, ate most of our dinners out, and kayaked the marina. It was hard for us to leave! Great restaurants are within walking distance. I recommend the Lobster House and Lucky Bones, both a 5 minute stroll from the duplex. You can't beat the fact that this property has an elevator. Transferring the luggage from car to unit was a snap with an elevator. I am already planning a return trip, hopefully this fall. This unit sleeps a crowd. The layout of the living area is perfect for entertaining and accomodating a large group. Thank you Deb for a great stay!
