Guestbook comments from the owner
This property is conveniently situated for access to Zion and Bryce National Parks, and Cedar Breaks National Monument. It is a comfortable refuge to come home to after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The home is beautifully laid out and decorated. It is clean and well stocked. This is a first class accommodation in a beautiful setting and near to services. The entire family hated to move on to our next destination!

Thanks for the opportunity to experience your place. You were easy to work with and very organized.

Lovely place!

  • 5 of 5
I stayed here with my son and 2 friends while visiting Bryce and Zion. The house is beautiful and well-decorated.We almost didn't want to leave and go to the national parks once we got there it was so nice:) Diane was responsive and helpful throughout the process. It's about 45 min. drive from the parks. There are grocery stores in Panguitch and Cedar City to get supplies. Make sure to pick up paper towels and laundry detergent if you'll need them since the house doesn't provide those, though it's well-equipped in general. Great place!

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5
What a beautiful home! We stayed three days and while the weather was warmer than normal, the snow was gorgeous. The home is very well appointed and comfortable. The only things you need to bring are clothes and food. The kitchen is very well stocked and the home is very clean. The driveway into the garage is a little steep and definitely recommend a four wheel drive vehicle, especially if it gets icy. I also recommend shopping before you arrive. I would definitely want to come back in the summer and do some fishing!

Awesome cabin in the woods

  • 4 of 5
My family and another family rented the cabin during Christmas and had plenty of room for 11 of us. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures show and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking and serving a holiday meal. The only trouble we had was the rather steep driveway was covered with ice when we arrived and our vehicles with 4 wheel drive did fine but our friends 2 wheel drive cars couldn't get back up and had to be pushed. It also would have been nice if there was a coat closet or some coat hooks available. We all had winter jackets and they ended up on the couches or the floor most of the time.

Owner's Response: Carolyn thank you for taking the time to let us know how your Christmas holiday was at the cabin. Glad that there was plenty of room for your family as well as the the other family and that you were so pleased with the cabin. I'm so sorry that you missed the large coat closet that is in the mud room room as soon as you walk in the door. There is plenty of room in there for coats as well as for boots. We always tell all our guests that during the winter months you have to have 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicles to get around in the snow up there. It is also noted in our rental agreement that we highly recommend 4 wheel drive or chains during the winter months. If for some reason we didn't discuss that, or if you missed reading that in the rental agreement, I apologize and am sorry your friends had a difficult time with there vehicles. It was truly a pleasure working with you, and Mike and I would love to have you return to the cabin. Have a wonderful 2014!

Wonderfully Comfortable Cabin

  • 5 of 5
This listing was exactly as described. It was very clean upon arrival. The cabin is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The surroundings were also amazing. We had 4 adults and 8 kids and there was plenty of room for us all. The cabin's kitchen is very well stocked, better than we would have guessed. We loved that there was wood and paper available to start our own fire. That added greatly to the winter in the mountain experience. The property owner was very easy to work with and super helpful. We were able to phone her before leaving to answer a few questions we had. This helped greatly. The directions emailed to us before were perfect, especially for our arrival late at night (and we were grateful to find the driveway plowed!) The whole transaction was seamless. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay, perfect place!

  • 5 of 5
I rented this house for seven days with my husband and college sons, ages 25 and 21. The house was perfect because it provided us with enough space to spread out and yet all be together in the great room where we talked, made meals, and ate. I wanted a way to get to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park (two different directions) within an hour for hiking, and the location was basically right in between, making it no big deal to drive to get to each place for long hikes every day.

The house was well-appointed with everything a vacationer needs. We flew from Seattle so we didn't bring anything but our clothes. We landed in Las Vegas, drove up I-15 to Cedar City, did our first grocery shop at Walmart, and headed to the house. There are no nearby big grocery stores so you just have to know that and plan ahead to make it easy. Later, when we visited Bryce and then Zion, there were smaller grocery stores where we stocked up as needed. Very easy.

The welcome packet I got from Diane, the owner, were complete and easy to follow; and Diane was so helpful and very easy to get a hold of by phone when we had a couple of questions regarding house use.

The house itself is lovely, bright, and clean. The morning sun through the big windows was fantastic! We would definitely recommend it to our friends, and we would like to visit it again.

Thanks, Diane!

So glad you were able to get in all the days you wanted at both parks. Mike and I truly appreciate any recommendations and would love to have you back at the cabin in the future. It was such a pleasure working with you. Thanks again,
