Awesome Location!

Loved the location of this unit! The beach is right across the street, the clubs/bars/restaurants are at your door step and Lincoln Rd/Espanola Way and even the Holocaust Memorial are all within walking distance of the condo. My friends and I had a great stay mainly due to the location of this condo, it is perfectly situated in the middle of everything in South Beach. We did venture to downtown Miami one night and it was just a $15 taxi ride; the airport is a $33 taxi ride. By the end of our stay we realized that to get great food we had to venture off the SOBE strip plus every place in SOBE charged a 18% gratuity no matter your group size and they even charge this ridiculous gratuity on drinks at the bar! We loved dancing at the Clevelander which is 2 doors down from the condo, we also enjoyed Mangoes for some cheesy dancing/live performances and the South Beach Duck Tour was worth the $32.
The pictures of the condo listed on Home Away are accurate; it's clear that the condo has seen its fair share of guests but it is still in good condition. Carmen was easy to work with and helpful as we organized our stay at the condo and she was easily accessible throughout our trip. The staff at the condo were also super nice and very helpful! Would totally stay at this place again if I were to return to SOBE!
Owner's Response: Thank you Patience. There are really many excelent restaurants on the beach, but yes, gratuity is usually higher in tourists areas. Is good to read the fine print because in many places it says on the bill to feel free to increase, lower or remove it. Not sure if that is still the case.
Glad you had a great time.Just a tip: There are many ways of enjoy things thar are free or low cost, such as cafe or appetizers on Lincoln Road, Hispaniola Way Ocean Drive, etc instead of a full dinner.By the time you eat the bread, an appetizer and water you'll be satisfied. Be aware that a few drinks can get more expensive than the meal so get your drinks with little or no ice, and it will go a longer way.
There are also museums, swimming in the ocean,or our pool in the top terrace, bicycling, dancing at The Clevelander, and people watching seating at starbucks cafe on Ocean and 15th, where there are also pizzas and ice cream stores, and it faces Lummus Park
Also with our fully equipped kitchen you can get some groceries and cook at home, and also buy liquor in the liquor stores (one on Collins and 11th) and make some of the drinks at home before going out.
All along Ocean Drive, you can have a full breakfast , lunch or dinner for less than 10.00 dollars. Just be aware that the catch will be on the beverages.
If you want to go all out for great food and catch a glimpse of some celebities, go to SLS hotel on Collins, Mr Chow Restaurant at the W hotel, dine at Casatua or Soho Beach, etc All South of 5th street restaurants (Prime One Twelve, Joe's Stone Crabs, Prime Italian, Smith And Wolenski, etc) are also very good choices of resturants, but of course, pricy.
Take these tips with you on any vacation and thank you for your stay.
Carmen
