I own and manage all of my vacation rentals to provide the special attention that each guest deserves. I was a backcountry ranger in Yellowstone for many years and am happy to help you arrange activities in and outside of the park. My goal is for each guest to have a Yellowstone adventure that they will never forget.
We built this home from recycled materials found in Montana. The original building was an old homestead built in the 1800's that a farmer was going to burn down. Instead, we tore down the logs and re-stacked it in Jardine. Other materials include an old fence torn down by a neighbor. The walls are plaster with slate in the bathrooms and kitchen. This used to be our home and we loved the unique touches. Please come and see for yourself the beauty in recycling.
The Sunny Slope Lodge is only 5 miles to the north gate of Yellowstone and the town of Gardiner. The park, restaurants, shops, activities are all at your fingertips yet you may never want to leave the house. You truly feel out of the hustle and bustle of town and Yellowstone yet you are only a stone's throw away from everything.
"What a beautiful setting and the house is gorgeous too! I rented this place to have a xmas gathering for me and 7 of my friends. We couldn't of chosen a better place. The house was clean and well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. None of us wanted to get up in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place and I myself would love to stay again sometime. The North entrance to Yellowstone National Park is only a few miles away, which is super convenient. If you plan to stay here during the winter, be sure to have good tires or 4wheel drive if there is snow on the ground. The driveway can be a challenge for a wimpy sedan :)"
Fall in this area is very beautiful. The leaves were changing and the drive up to Sunny slopes from Gardiner was beautiful. The cabin is very warm and inviting with amazing views from every window. The kitchen is well stocked and a cooks dream. I loved the shower in the master bedroom. Wonderful decks on both the front and back side of the house for enjoying the beautiful weather. The occasional visit from a deer or two made us feel secluded but yet so close to town. Yellowstone National Park is just a 20 minute drive and the northern range of the park is great for widlife spotting any time of year. The owners were wonderful to work with, very helpful and knowledgeable about the whole area including Bozeman. Definitely a place to come back to.
Our stay was a lot of fun! The sunny slope lodge was very pretty. We had no problem renting, it was a very easy process. The house is beautiful and has great scenery! We had a big group of friends, and it was a great way to end our summer!
Upon entering the Sunny Slope Lodge my friends and I were greeted with the warmth and coziness of the log clad vacation home. As this is our second stay at the lodge we looked forward to the amazing views out of every window of the home and the spaciousness of the floor plan. Since we were celebrating a birthday we were able to make use of the modern and well stocked kitchen and enjoy a movie with the wood burning stove crackling away in the corner.
The location above the city of Gardiner provided easy access to great restaurants and shops. The market in town is well stocked and reasonably priced. We were able to take a day trip into the park and were fortunate to enjoy the Yellowstone Falls and Yellowstone Lake. A bonus was the pictures we were able to capture of the local buffalo, mountain goats, antelope and even a black bear.
At the end of each day we were able to relax in the cool mountain air and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of this beautiful home situated just outside of the Yellowstone north entrance. Thank you to the property owners who not only remembered our last stay at Sunny Slope but were able to accommodate our recent trip at the last minute. We look forward to returning in the winter with our families and experiencing this property after a good snow fall.
What a wonderful vacation rental. The location is perfect to be away from it all. The neighbors that you do see are all friendly. Loved the rustic charm of the cabins and the views out every window of Sunny Slope. The description was spot on and the owner was quick to get back to e-mail or phone questions. We can't wait to our next trip to the Sunny Slope.
We just completed a week long stay at Sunnyslope with a total of 6 adults and 4 children. We found it a great base from which to launch our daily trips into Yellowstone Park! The craftsmanship and details in the house amazed us all. Lisa's advice before the trip was very helpful. A trip up to Hells A Roarin outfitters for horseback riding is not to be missed. Thanks for the great memories!
I just returned from a 10 day stay at Sunny Slope Lodge. This was a family vacation that included 3 generations ranging from 8 to 68. This was a perfect cabin for our family! It had a triple split floor plan with a bathroom for each bedroom. The common area was large with beautiful views. The outdoor decks were spacious. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We were able to make it from the cabin to the park entrance in less than 15 min, which was very important considering the daily drives required to get from one site to another in the park. We were all sad to leave. The owner was easy to work with and I would recommend Sunny Slope Lodge to anyone looking for a true vacation!
