Paradise valley offers Yellowstone River fly fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding and some of the best scenic beauty Montana has to offer. Famous Chico Hot Springs is close by. Soak in the mineral waters or dine at their wonderful gourmet restaurant. We truly look forward to welcoming you to our home!

Attractions: Yellowstone River, only 5 minutes away, is famous for it's trout-fishing. The river meanders all through the valley, so if fishing or playing on the river is your passion, do make this your destination and indulge it to the full!

If you happen to arrive at dusk, you may find yourself greeted by a hillside full of deer! Watch closely as you drive up - their colors blend in with the hills. Or watch them cross just below the house in the morning. You are free to hike and roam the hills around the house - keeping a respectful distance from other homes & fence lines.

FOOD ! -- Kitchen & Patio Grilling: The large, gourmet kitchen provides all you need (from cookware & utensils to crystal wine & champagne glasses) to create home-cooked meals whenever you choose to 'eat in.' The kitchen table or the grill on the patio are the best spots to congregate with full-on views of the mountains, river & valley! With plenty of room & seating for 12 in the farm-style kitchen, along with the wide-open, top-of-the-hill views from the dining room & patio, preparing and enjoying meals here will be one of your most memorable times.

The living room has comfortable seating for watching TV, reading a book or just gazing out one of the many large windows to watch the weather move thru the valley or just daydream. It is open to the kitchen, so even a large group of people may enjoy their time together in the 2100 sq ft. open floor plan.

Accommodations: Our home easily accommodates 8-10 people. A king size bed in Master bedroom & large soaker tub & shower in the master bathroom indulge your sense of privacy & comfort. A queen bedroom upstairs is across the hall from the 2nd bathroom (shower). The 3rd bedroom is also upstairs & has 2 twin beds. A full size futon is available in the loft area (with birds-eye views of both the house & surrounding areas). Two twin air mattresses for use in any room, allows us to accommodate up to 10 people. Luxury linens go a long way to ensuring everyone has an excellent night's rest.

The open loft area is a great spot for the kids to hang out after a busy day outdoors, with games, puzzles, and books, or choose a selection from the video library, with many titles to pick from. Connect to the outside world with wireless high-speed internet access. Your vacation home is completely prepped before you arrive & cleaned after your stay.

Come & be renewed in the peace & beauty of this wonderful Valley!

Great Place...Definitely recommend it!!!

My husband and I stayed at The House on The Hill right after Christmas for some R&R. We were very pleased to find the house exactly what we were looking for. The house was very well stocked with everything you would need while staying there and was incredibly clean and well taken care of. We felt very at home.

The location is exceptional. The first morning when I walked out to the kitchen and could see snow covered mountain from each direction, I was in awe. Paradise Valley is an appropriate name for this region! While we were there, we enjoyed just some quiet time, the scenery, reading in front of the fireplace, walks and a day at Yellowstone. We went to the Saloon at Chico Springs one evening which was good, but most of the time we just spent at the house.

The week went by very fast. We had a great time and would most certainly would recommend this property to anyone considering renting it!

Is this place for real?!

Submitted: December 11, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
We're from Ohio. You can't get much flatter than that, topographically-speaking. Okay...except maybe for Kansas or Nebraska. Having never traveled out west before, we were quite nervous about making such a trek-- 1,700 miles one way in a 12 year old Mercury. With a teenager in tow. Yeah, not anticipating a walk in the park. After many, many highway miles; rest stops; fast food; truck stops; naps at truck stops; more fast food; we finally arrived. BOY. We couldn't believe what we were seeing. Just the view of Emigrant Peak alone with all of its surrounding mountain sides is enough to drive 1,700 miles to see again. But to have your own little piece of seclusion with which to drink it all in, day after day....I have to say it was the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. The pictures of this home and its location will not do it justice. You simply have to see it for yourself. The house itself was impeccably decorated: roomy, cozy, comfy. It was very clean. There were little details that made it nice: a huge soaking tub; a fire pit and grill out back; nice fans for each room if it got too stuffy. (There's no central air, but seriously... you'll be so in love with everything else, who CARES?!) The house is also centrally located, --literally smack dab in the middle-- between the city of Livingston and Yellowstone National Park. It's about 25 miles either way. There is a handy little general store just 5 miles up the road for quickie purchases. It really was like having a second home for us. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone. We intend to come back someday.

I really can not say enough nice things about the house on the hill. The hosts and property manager are very professional and helpful to work with (PM even drove up to house when we forgot the keys). The home is very well equipped and comfortably slept 7 of us! Great views, ping pong, and very comfortable. Yellowstone Park and the gorgeous Yellowstone valley are right at your doorstop. Safe and Secure, just a fantastic place for a family vacation. Enjoy

Fantastic Views, Nice Home, Great Service!

Our stay at house on the hill was great! We enjoyed our time, and all of our concerns were immediately addressed by the management company. The description and photos represent exactly what you get, and you will enjoy your stay. We will not likely stay here again because the property does not allow pets, or shoes on indoors. (Managing shoes on and off all day for our children was quite the chore.) Our dog usually travels everywhere with us, so it was unfortunate to have to leave her behind, and we will look for a dog friendly property next time. Also, although the valley is cool in the evening, the lack of air conditioning made a few of the nights uncomfortably hot in the second floor bedrooms, even with the use of the fans provided. I might point out that we knew this ahead of time, so it was not a surprise at all. The house itself is gorgeous, and everything is absolutely perfect. The views are breathtaking, the beds are comfortable and the amenities provided are amazing! I would recommend this property to friends and family in the future without hesitation. If you are looking for a refreshing, relaxing place to stay, this will satisfy your needs! It is simply beautiful. Thank you Debbie and Kevin for allowing us to stay in your home. It was another wonderful vacation!

Owner's Response: Thank You for your review; we're happy you had a wonderful vacation at our beautiful home and enjoyed the breathtaking views! The listing discloses our No Pets and No Smoking policies, which we verbally verify all guests are aware of when they book, and which is re-iterated in their signed Rental Agreement. The listing discloses we have no air conditioning - normally not used or installed in the Paradise Valley. On warmer days, closing windows and blinds while you are out for the day, then re-opening them once you arrive back at the house, will allow those wonderful night breezes on the top of the hill to cool down the house quickly. Our home's beautiful, engineered hardwood floor contributes to the luxurious accommodations we're offering at our somewhat remote, country location in Paradise Valley. We hope the enjoyment and contrast of luxurious accommodations in the midst of a very rocky, but gorgeous environment offsets the need to remove our shoes, preventing scratches and gouges in the floor. We have a large, tiled entry way with a bench to sit on for this purpose. Warm regards, Debbie and Kevin

Spectacular family vacation

We rented the house for a week getaway for our family (with a 3 and 6 year old). The house was spectacular--exactly as pictured but even better in person. The views from the house onto the valley were incredible. The house was perfect for our family with many things to do (videos, games, ping pong, campfires) and supplied with all the amenities we needed. It was easy to get to Yellowstone (about 25 minute drive) following the Yellowstone River. Bozeman and Livingston are easily accessible and great towns to visit--both have amazing restaurants, galleries, museums, and shopping. We couldn't recommend the house more highly and look forward to another visit soon!
