Although, with views like these, you may not want to leave the house! Enjoy them from our new, large wraparound deck added Fall 2013. Our 3-bedroom + loft, 2100 sq. ft newer home easily accommodates 8-10 people. Come enjoy the quiet serenity, fresh mountain air, unparalleled views for miles & Milky Way stars galore - in the privacy of this luxurious, peaceful home.

Paradise valley offers Yellowstone River fly fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding and some of the best scenic beauty Montana has to offer. Famous Chico Hot Springs is close by. Soak in the mineral waters or dine at their wonderful gourmet restaurant. We truly look forward to welcoming you to our home!

Attractions: Yellowstone River, only 5 minutes away, is famous for it's trout-fishing. The river meanders all through the valley, so if fishing or playing on the river is your passion, do make this your destination and indulge it to the full!

If you happen to arrive at dusk, you may find yourself greeted by a hillside full of deer! Watch closely as you drive up - their colors blend in with the hills. Or watch them cross just below the house in the morning. You are free to hike and roam the hills around the house - keeping a respectful distance from other homes & fence lines.

FOOD ! -- Kitchen & Patio Grilling: The large, gourmet kitchen provides all you need (from cookware & utensils to crystal wine & champagne glasses) to create home-cooked meals whenever you choose to 'eat in.' The kitchen table, the grill on the patio or our new large deck are the best spots to congregate with full-on views of the mountains, river & valley! With plenty of room & seating for 12 in the farm-style kitchen, along with the wide-open, top-of-the-hill views from the dining room & patio, preparing and enjoying meals here will be one of your most memorable times.

The living room has comfortable seating for watching TV, reading a book or just gazing out one of the many large windows to watch the weather move thru the valley or just daydream. It is open to the kitchen, so even a large group of people may enjoy their time together in the 2100 sq ft. open floor plan.

Accommodations: Our home easily accommodates 8-10 people. A king size bed in Master bedroom & large soak-er tub & shower in the master bathroom indulge your sense of privacy & comfort. A queen bedroom upstairs is across the hall from the 2nd bathroom (shower). The 3rd bedroom is also upstairs & has 2 twin beds. A full size futon is available in the loft area (with birds-eye views of both the house & surrounding areas). Two twin air mattresses for use in any room, allows us to accommodate up to 10 people. Luxury linens go a long way to ensuring everyone has an excellent night's rest.

The open loft area is a great spot for the kids to hang out after a busy day outdoors, with games, puzzles, and books, or choose a selection from the video library, with many titles to pick from. Connect to the outside world with wireless high-speed internet access. Your vacation home is completely prepped before you arrive & cleaned after your stay.

Come & be renewed in the peace & beauty of this wonderful Valley!

About Kevin and Debbie

Hi there, we love to be outdoors in the Natl Parks and Rocky Mountains! We look forward to sharing our home with you, as you experience your own time under the big skies of Montana, where clean air, bright stars and that wild west adventure await you!

Kevin and Debbie purchased this house in 2010

Why Kevin and Debbie chose Emigrant

We have hiked, backpacked and fished in gorgeous mountainous areas for years and found this valley from which to base our adventures! And so close to Yellowstone too - what a bonus! We are from San Diego and very much look forward to our time here - just as you will! Emigrant Peak beckons from just across the valley, which we hiked/climbed Sept 2010 - about 6 miles to the top at 10,900 ft - a challenging one for us!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at the "house on the hill" -- thanks so much for sharing it! The views are amazing and we could not see another place we would have rather stayed. Carol

House on the Hill was everything we hoped it would be, felt like home from the moment we walked in the door. Amazing views of Emigrant Peak, wildlife (Primarily deer) could be seen morning, day & night...sometimes within 20-30 yards of the house.
Made daily trips to YNP, just a short 25min drive to the park entrance in Gardiner...but a beautiful drive through paradise valley
Debbie was extremely helpful from the time we booked the house
If your looking to come to the area....THIS IS THE PLACE

Very quiet relaxing trip. House was close enough to Yellowstone without being too close to people. Secluded and private. House came furnished with all the essentials, except food. Didn't have to worry about the small stuff! Would definitely recommend to someone that wants peace and quiet, without all the crowds. Beautiful night skies, sit outside at the firepit and sip a little wine or a couple of brews!! If we came back this way, we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Home with Breathtaking Scenery

  • 5 of 5
My family enjoyed a magical vacation at House on the Hill in late June-early July, 2014. The house was is really lovely, comfortable, and well-stocked. Debbie and Kevin have included many extra and thoughtful features. We spent our days exploring YNP, Livingston and Paradise Valley and it was a joy to return to this house each day. Dinners and breakfasts at the table overlooking and Yellowstone River and its valley were a balm to the soul. My family loved staying at this house and would consider it a privilege to get to return. I must add that the family ping pong tournaments in the garage were a highlight!

amazing home, breathtaking views, great hosts

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I wanted to venture west for our vacation this year and chose Montana as one of our destinations. After researching online, we came across Debbie and Kevin's House on the Hill and, as cliché as it may sound, fell in love immediately. Let me tell you, we were not disappointed! The house itself was beautiful, warm, and inviting and in many ways felt like *home* as soon as we walked in the door. Also, the views were breathtaking, especially in the evenings and early mornings - nothing like eating breakfast on the porch or kitchen table looking out at that view - you simply must see it to believe it! Debbie was wonderful to speak with via phone and email and was accommodating and helpful every step of the way (even provided some ideas of things to do while we were there). Hopefully we'll be able to make it out that way again and if so will certainly be contacting them again. Thank you for being a part of making this a memorable vacation!

Absolutely Beautiful!

This house is absolutely everything described and more! We have used VRBO for years, and Debbie has been the best owner we have worked with by far. She was easily accessible by phone and email; she was patient to answer all my questions; she went to the extreme by giving me maps and details of interests for the surrounding areas. The house was very clean and full of supplies. I especially enjoyed the coffee every morning looking at Emigrant Peak. We enjoyed staying away from the commercial aspect of YNP and experiencing Montana life. The drive to YNP was easy, and the house was a great place to wind down after sight seeing all day. The mountain air was incredible! We really enjoyed having the windows open and the breeze coming through the house. We had two teens, my father-in-law, and my husband and me--plenty of room for all of us to have our own space and beds. We packed lunches and snacks in Debbie's cooler to take with us each day. The kitchen has everything you need! We enjoyed eating in Gardiner and Pray. We booked a guide in Emigrant for a fly fishing trip--several species of fish were caught; took a raft trip down the Yellowstone; spent a day in Cody, WY; toured the park for three full days-one day with a Wolf Tracker Guide; and visited the Prairie Dog Town and Fish Hatchery in Big Timber. The landscape is breathtaking! The house made our trip all the more enjoyable!

Our family had a wonderful time at this house. We went rafting, hiking horseback riding and spent several days in the park. It was so relaxing waking up and having coffee on the patio looking out over the mountains. Thanks.
