What a wonderful vacation rental!

We just returned from a week at this wonderful vacation home. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked. We had homemade seafood dinners every evening! The bikes were so handy to have. Biking within the Sandestin resort is a must...so beautiful! We enjoyed the golf cart and also used a couple of beach chairs the owner makes available to renters. She evens shares her beach towels, which was great since we forgot ours. The enclosed garage turned out to be so nice to store all of our beach stuff in. i just cannot say enough about our experience. Of most importance, you should know that Carey, the owner, is extremely helpful and accommodating! I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a Sandestin rental property.

Marvelous and Comfortable

This is a very delightful property that is perfect for a relaxing time. The master bedroom and the living room with a superbly comfortable couch open onto the patio and the well maintained back yard. The back yard is fully fenced, and accomodated our dogs very nicely. It is pretty back there and it is very relaxing to sit on the brick patio and enjoy the quiet peace of the area. The kitchen is well outfitted and the dining table accomodated us well. A golf cart and bicycles are in the enclosed garage. The whole house is well appointed, quite comfortable, and very clean; the photos do not do it full justice. We look forward to our next stay.

Review for our two week stay

My wife and I stayed in Ms. Dowdle’s home in Sandestin for the first two weeks in 2013. It was a delightful stay as our rental home was beautiful, functional, and comfortable. It was in a quiet neighborhood with no distractions. It was particularly well located for my daily walks.

This house lacked none of the amenities that we were expecting. It was completely furnished with beautiful art work, collectibles, silverware, and china. Actually, there were multiple sets of certain kitchen cutlery with gadgets for every possible need. We kept “finding” things as we investigated the credenzas and drawers in the house. It was particularly convenient to have easy access to the clothes washer and dryer.

All of the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We used the third bedroom as an office where we were able to check daily our email messages as we had the benefit of a strong Wi-Fi signal. The printer was handy and well supplied with paper and print cartridges. Having with us our laptop computer, we were able to function electronically as though we were back home.

Our rental in Sandestin was a perfect fit for us as we were looking for a quiet two weeks with few scheduled activities. However, there are a myriad of good restaurants and points of interest for the more adventuresome.

Minimum contact during our stay with the owner was required and the two inquiries were quickly responded to. She was very accommodating prior to and during our stay.


My wife and I strongly recommend this rental to our friends and others as an outstanding choice for a Florida panhandle area location. I don’t think we could have had a better experience for the two weeks that we were away from our home in St. Louis.

Bicycles (3) were a huge bonus...saved us over $300! Garage a bonus --car out of sun! Enjoyed option of golf cart to get around property, Publix next door.. with no parking problems.Spacious rooms! Have stayed here before and will stay here again! Great bargain and find right in Sandestin!
