A perfect setting on 2 1/2 acres below Hood Mountain and Sugarloaf, our 3,000 ft. landmarks for beautiful Kenwood in the heart of Valley of the Moon. Open meadows and Chateau St. Jean's adjacent vineyards envelope you on the property. Enchantingly hand-forged wine country gates lead you into the property along a 5 stall horse barn. A variety of orchard trees and grape vines add to the character of this special place.

This lovely home has an open feel, lots of cozy places to sit and enjoy for several days or more in this amazing location. The updated and stocked kitchen has new appliances, while retaining its country charm. Described by a visitor, 'This house is fantastic!'

The outdoor areas include a new front patio to watch the afternoon setting sun, with 4 French blue Adirondack chairs that look over to a Bocce Ball court beneath soaring Redwoods. Also a back patio with a barbeque, charcoal Weber grill for al fresco dining, taking in the mountain scenery. An outdoor fire pit for evenings, star-gazing and re-counting the day's activities is very popular. Some guests have talked about brewing morning coffee and just walking the farm-like property, starting with the barn and out to the 'front forty' as we call it.

This is a wonderful spot to call 'home' in the wine country, while hiking in the mountains, wine-tasting at the area wineries so eager to welcome you and enjoying the excellent restaurants right in Kenwood and nearby Glen Ellen. This is a place to relax and savor Sonoma Valley.

About The Owner

I have owned this property for 7 years and also live in Marin County, working in SF. The Kenwood property is a delightful place and has been enjoyed by visitors since my renovations etc in 2006.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Why The Owner chose Kenwood

The area/scenery around Kenwood is spectacular,the people who live there are wonderful and welcoming. The access to and from San Francisco and surrounding counties is very good, an easy drive.

What makes this house unique

The surrounding areas of this property are mainly the land, 2 1/2 acres and the views of vineyards and mountains all around. The big barn provides a unique visual and adds character to the property. It is also gated. The mountain views of Sugar Loaf and Hood Mountain at 3,000 ft each make a dramatic backdrop. Very warm, with country home furnishings and a new gas fireplace in the large living room, make this a cozy place to be.

Great house! Wonderful setting, great patio!

We celebrated my 50th birthday and had a fabulous time! The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. The location was great, we went on the Wine Train and visited 6 wineries in 2 days. I look forward to coming back!
