House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)

Lake Poinsett and the lakes around it are great fishing. The area has great hunting and many neat things to do. Watertown is only 20 minutes to the north with the Terry Redlin Art Museum and Desmet home of the Laura Ingals Wilder Little house on the prairie pagent is only 30 minutes south west.

Keywords: 3 bedroom 2 bath with loft Lake home on the water. Built in 2008 it is fully furnished and fully equipped. Large deck and covered deck with dock and boat lift. Year round cabin.
About The Owner

WE BUILT THIS CABIN NEW IN 2008. We use the cabin ourselves and with our kids activities we can't use it all the time. So we rent it out.

Why The Owner chose Sioux Falls

This is the second biggest lake in South Dakota at 8,000 acres. There are several nearby bars and restaurants. There is usually some night life on the weekends. We have many friends that have lake homes on Lake Poinsette.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the lake and the relaxing days. We enjoy have a fire in the fire pit and grilling marsh mellows.

30% non refundable down payment and balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
Fees And Taxes We do not charge a cleaning fee but expect the home to be in a fairly clean state when you leave. There is a 5.50% state sales tax which is added to the bill.
Non Summer we do rent the cabin and have typically charged $750 per week during the winter and $900 to $1100 per week in the fall and spring depending on demand, how many and the week. We also rent it out on the weekend fall, winter and spring for a minimum of 2 night stay for $175 per night.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Beautiful location, well stocked house, and very responsive owner.

Couldn't get a hotel in Brookings, so we decided to rent this house...and it was a great decision. For about the cost of one hotel room we had 2 small children and 4 adults spread over three bedrooms and a roomy loft. The kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, grill, and deck were stocked with all of the staples. Casey (the owner) responded quickly to all email and phone messages and even provided tips for avoiding flood damage on the drive from Omaha and for catching walleye off the dock. The lake itself was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time outside on the huge deck even though it was late October. I'd love to come back in the springtime.
