Wonderful 1770 built cape with views of the Mystic River. Five minutes walk to Historic Mystic Seaport, five minutes walk to the numerous restaurants, bars and shops on Main Street. Five minutes drive to Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystick Village. Just ten minutes drive to the nearest beaches and twenty to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos.

Charming home in a great location!

This very pleasant home is in an excellent location! It is a delightful 5 minute walk, mainly along the river, to downtown Mystic. The listing description and photos are very accurate. The property is well-maintained and was extremely clean. The kitchen is well-equipped for making basic meals. We were pleasantly surprised to find a welcome gift from the owners on the kitchen counter.

There is a nice view of the Mystic River from the kitchen window and side yard. The owners have a notebook in the kitchen with the manuals for all the appliances in the house as well as very detailed check-in and check-out instructions. Phone numbers are provided for the owners and property manager. Prior to renting the property I had a very delightful and informative conversation with the owner which made me feel more confident about renting from an on-line site.

Our visits to nearby Mystic Seaport (a 5 minute walk), the Mystic Aquarium and Olde Mystic Village (a very short drive), and nearby Ocean Beach Park were very enjoyable. We liked McQuade's Marketplace (near the aquarium) for basic groceries and a great selection of ready-made heat and eat entrees as well as sandwiches/wraps.

I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative.

Fun in Mystic

We enjoyed our stay in this Mystic Cottage House. The size and amenities were adequate for our family of 3 and the location of the house was one of the biggest perks. Within walking distance to lots of local attractions, we certainly were enjoying the area around us. Another pro for this house was the fenced in back yard where our son could run around and play when we weren't in town or at the aquarium. Since the home was built in the 1700's the 2nd floor access and ceilings were quite low, but this was to be expected with the age of the property. We had lots of interaction with the property owners and they were very attentive and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend to friends.

this little house was a great find for our vacation. 4 of us girls spent the week here and it was in the perfect location for our activities (we were attending a wedding) and served us very well. we had a great time and i would recommend it to anyone looking to have a little comfort of home while away from home. very conveniently located to mystic and the amtrak/bus stops, plus close driving distance to a supermarket (the Big Y), and a great alternative to spending money on a hotel. fun to stay somewhere with a little history too!!

Great place to stay in a great location

We had a great stay at the John Denison Cottage, the service was friendly and excellent and property was clean and in good condition.
It is close to sights and services in Mystic and a close drive to Stonnington Borough. You can walk to the main town area of Mystic, a very convienient location.
I would recommend this property.
