Sea Lavender is located directly on an ocean beach on Elbow Cay, two miles south of the quaint village of Hope Town. The house and freshwater pool overlook the Atlantic Ocean and a sandy beach on an acre of private grounds. Sunrises and sunsets can both be enjoyed from the house and screened gazebo.

Sea Lavender is located directly on an ocean beach on Elbow Cay, two miles south of the quaint village of Hope Town. The house and freshwater pool overlook the Atlantic Ocean and a sandy beach on an acre of private grounds. The open living, dining and kitchen areas all enjoy views of the pool and ocean. The kitchen is a cook’s delight with fine equipment, two ice makers and island seating for four.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed overlooking the water and a large bath with tub and shower. The second bedroom overlooks the grounds and has a queen sized bed with a small bathroom and shower.

A screened gazebo overlooks the pool and ocean and provides a perfect spot to watch the sun set over White Sound.

Sea Lavender is near the Abaco Inn for fine dining and entertainment. Sea Spray Resort is about a half mile south, where one will find a restaurant, bar and marina facilities. Firefly offers casual fine dining overlooking the Sea of Abaco a five minute drive towards town. A new grocery will open in Nov. 2011 just around the corner. There is a public dock a five minute walk from the house for those who choose to rent a boat. There is a convenience grocery store about a mile towards Hope Town, and a liquor store nearby. A Bahamian take-away is located across the main road from the house, offering an extensive menu from sandwiches to complete dinners to take home.

Vacationers can enjoy exploring the island by golf cart, which can be rented on the island. Hope Town is a lovely village with colorful old homes with picket fences and tropical foliage. There are several restaurants/bars, and shops which look out on the harbor and its famous candy-striped lighthouse. Elbow Cay provides vacationers with opportunities for the very active or those wishing to relax by the pool and stroll the beach.

Please note:

A washer and dryer are not available at Sea Lavender, but there is a self service laundry just down the road. They will also provide full service, pick up and delivery.

Sea Lavender does not have an emergency generator, and is priced with that as a consideration. A new power plant will alleviate past problems.
