Point Williams Lodge was a spectacular destination for our reunion of Notre Dame friends in October 2010. The home is beautiful with a wonderful plan. Gorgeous Stickley furniture abounds. The grounds are magnificent on many acres of Salish Sea shorleline. Gudrun was the consummate hostess, arranging even the smallest detail for us with grace, thoughtfulness and professionalism. The home is ideal for large groups of couples, or for a large family reunion. You will love this amazing bit of heaven on earth."
Look forward to talking soon to arrange some visits.
With best wishes for the peace of the season,
I organized and facilitated a retreat for a group of women who gathered for the weekend at Point Williams Lodge. This was an ideal space for our group. It was quiet, serene, and felt like a real getaway for us - even though many of us were local. Everything leading up to our weekend was organized and we felt so well taken care of throughout our time. The craftsmanship of the home is impressive, with lots of space for people to journal, take naps, and enjoy all the amenities the house has to offer. The grounds are beautiful and we were able to get some great group photos out at the point at sunset. I can't recommend this place enough and look forward to my next trip there!
The lodge is an amazing place, we rented this home for an annual gathering with friends (adults and kids) and it was wonderful. We spent a huge amount of time in the pool and hot tub, and had plenty of space for us all to enjoy the property.
We will be back :-)
We rented this home for a family get together and can not say enough about how well it worked for our mix of family. It perfectly met the needs of our group of children, adults, adults with special needs and grandparents. A special note- all of the toilets are ADA height and the many restrooms are all easily accessible.
The personal walk through of the amenities was a wonderful touch and put us at ease to use all of the great features this house included. Debbie was extremely helpful with any questions we did have.
When we arrived there was a hand made sign welcoming our guest of honor. It was a very personal touch that made us all feel welcome. The house was fully decorated with fall foliage and gourds. Beautifully done! Each room even had a flower arrangement bedside.
The house came fully stocked with movies, music, games and puzzles. There was plenty to do inside and out.
The additional services they offer is what made this such a stressless event. They helped us arrange a chef come and provide dinner one night. It was an amazing meal so beautifully done. They provided everything for a gourmet meal. The chef worked with me to provide a custom menu based on our tastes and wishes. By having them come in and provide the meal we were all able to visit and not worry about cooking. As we sat down to dinner, at this elaborate spread of fresh local food, we realized what a gift being able to be at our table it was. We could all visit and not be interrupted by other diners, not have to shout to be heard and could interact with our whole party all within our rental home. A pure gift! Did I mention the food was amazing?
We also had a massage therapist come and provide 15 minute chair massages to each of our guests. What a treat for everyone.
I really can't say enough about how much our family enjoyed this home. It was large enough to comfortably house us all and allow enough space for quiet time if you wanted it. We are already planning our next visit.
We held our family reunion, consisting of 5 couples in the absolutely stunning Point Williams Lodge. The house was the main character in our story--it's every bit as beautiful as the pictures, with rich wood timbers and furnishings and amazing views through the many windows. One thing we continually marvelled at, with our dutch background, was how clean the house was! Every window and piece of glass was spotless! The bedding and towels were so white and luxurious! Our bed was right by the windows where the breeze blew cool air all night long, and we could look out at the full moon! Also, the eagles would call to each other in the early morning and the sound rang through the trees. We made sure we played crochet, bocce ball and badminton, and thoroughly enjoyed the new lawn with all the games provided. My husband spent a lot of time in front of the stone barbecue(combination propane and charcoal briquets), which is located on the deck overlooking the magnificent view. One night we enjoyed a large beef roast, that he cooked to perfection! We spent hours sitting around the large table, laughing and reconnecting, all under the glow of the beautiful lighting and classical music playing on the surround stereo. The pool deck was our main point of leisure--we often chose to forego excursions to spend more time in the wonderful pool. We did walk around the block each morning, imagining which Samish island home we would like to live in, while marvelling at the birds and stillness on the water. The bikes were in excellent condition, and 5 of us headed into Edison for coffee and pie. We explored La Conner and one day we all managed to catch the ferry to Friday Harbour for a lovely time there. The last night was the most special, when we all headed down to the point, and watched the sunset, with seals bobbing up to visit, and then a group of dolphins played in the water out in front of us! Thank you so much for providing us with this wonderful home which played a major role in the success of our family reunion. Gudrun, Debbie and Dave, we thank you again, Wendy and the DeVries family
I booked this place for my husband's birthday getaway. What a gem of a place for the ultimate exclusive and very private island-like retreat on Samish Island. The very friendly and wonderful staff people (reservations, concierge) lodge accommodations and outdoor amenities were outstanding. The outdoor spa and pool were so relaxing. The water was extremely bouyant and soft (I am not sure if they use saline or ionizer filtration), but there is no chlorine smell and it is so pristine. It made our skin really soft. Of course the beds were perfectly comfortable. I would book Pt. Williams Lodge definitely. It is such a special place. Our experience was worth every penny!
We celebrated my dad's 80th birthday at this wonderful home with a party of 13 people. We all had plenty of space and enjoyed the house immensely! The kitchen is a bit small for such a large number of people but the eating areas are plentiful indoor and out. The pool and hot tub are wonderful and a big hit with both the kids and adults. The beds are comfortable and the bedding luxurious as promised. Don't miss this lovely house.
