Photos and Description of the Tahoma vacation cabin rental
2 bedrooms 2 baths, sleeps 1-6-Beds for all no pull out couch.

Welcome to Patsy's Place - it is our second home. It is an amazing updated 1959 cabin that has been painstakingly updated from the foundation to the roof.is situated on 3 lots on the West shore in Tahoma, CA. The uniqueness of this space is that it can host a party for 50 or more outside on the grounds, but the cabin itself can accommodate 1-6 peoples. The first thing you will notice when entering this property is the gorgeous setting, it is truly quite lovely and you won't get any closer to Sugar Pine Point State Park as you can see from the pictures it is literally and seamlessly in your front yard in fact it feels like it is part of the front yard

We have worked very hard to update most all of the appliances, providing a wonderful kitchen and living space. The cabin itself is over 1550 sqft, comfortable, charming and well kept. The kitchen, dining room and living room host an open plan, leading down the hall to a rather comfortably sized bathroom with shower and soaking tub

Charming beyond Belief-: We have 1 bedroom downstairs that will acommodate 4 persons, child or adult queen & 2 xl twins. There is a master bedroom upstairs that has a king bed . You will find plenty of storage. Although no need to bring sheets or pillows, we provide all cotton sheets and down pillows, large bath sheets and beach towels. We try to make each and every stay one that we ourselves would want to experience. One of the beautiful features about the cabin is the outdoor space-we have an enormous 3/4 wrap around deck that is close to the ground, we have worked hard to clean up the grounds and continue to work on the garden.

Hopefully by the pictures you can see the charm of Ole Tahoe, but the beauty is that it is updated and provides for a very wonderfully restful stay. New addition, with new mudroom, 6 more feet in the living room, new gas fireplace with stone surround and carved wood mantel. New laundry room with full washer and dryer. new masterbedroom..

This is the place you want to bring your Sweetheart, the place you've hadn't had the time to read that book or better yet write your biography. Patsy's Place is truly about renewing your spirit. You may hear a few children in the neighborhood, but at night it is something rarely ever experienced, total silence.

Enjoy the little town of Tahoma, West Side Pizza, PDQ Market-try their sandwiches, the local video shop....there is a small HOA rocked beach, but Meeks Bay Beach is a few miles south and Chambers Landing is a short skip North. Homewood Ski is very close and check out Homewood Obedexer's new deli itis north and Squaw Valley is about 25 minutes NW.

We feel you will think you have found a little jewel in the Tahoe Basin, as we feel we were blessed to be stewards of this beautiful property. Please inquire as to our availability and don't hesitate to ask questions.

We wish you and yours a very wonderful and fulfilling stay at Patsy's Place, Tahom

Yeah we are finally done with the addition! And every inch was magically touche. Just enough room but not enough to get lost in. We are proud of where we started and where we are at. This is a very special location....we hope you agree.

A Very Special Place!

What a wonderful property you have Laura! You have thought of EVERYTHING a family could need/want when staying at a vacation rental. We loved the fact that the cabin is at the end of a very quiet street up against Sugar Pine State Park! The detail of the finishes and the way you have decorated the home made it completely comfortable. Everything was clean and well-cared for which is always difficult to see when one is looking at pictures on a website! Your pictures show exactly what you get, an immaculate and beautiful cabin where it is easy to relax and enjoy some downtime after a day playing in the Sierras. Our young daughters were sad on the day we had to leave until promised that we will come back to Patsy's Place next year!! Thank you for the wine too. We will certainly be back next season!

Everything described plus more! Wonderful week in the Woods!

Tim & Laura,

What a great week we had at your cabin in the woods! So close to everything—Tahoe City, PDQ, Homewood—yet secluded at the end of a quiet street.

Odd as it may sound, one of my favorite spots at your place is the mud room. This area kept us organized! No one was looking for gloves, ski pants, season passes—everything had a place in the mud room. Love how you have it decorated as well.

The home is beautiful. It has all the amenities you could wish for. Living room is comfy and cozy. Kitchen had every gadget you could possibly need as well as all the “staples” that most rentals don’t provide such as sugar, spices, and condiments. We have rented many places over the years and have always dreaded not having these types of items available. Internet was also an added bonus. My older son had to work a few hours each day and the connection was great.

The first floor bedroom was delightful. My boys, well really men, ages 18 and 24, were more than comfortable. We also had a little 3 year old visitor one night who loved the tub of toys and stuff animals. Moving up to the second floor and all I can say is WOW! Bed was very comfortable and the linens were top quality. The master bath was a first class retreat! The soaking tub was so large—even my 6’ 3” husband enjoyed a soak after a week of skiing. Not to be outdone by the huge shower with rainfall showerhead.

Although we have visited West Shore Lake Tahoe for many years, this was our first time to rent as we have always stayed with friends. My family loved the cabin and would definitely return again. Although we have always visited during ski season, we may give the summer a try now that we found such a wonderful place!

Laura, special thanks to you for working with us at the end of the week. You made our last day very enjoyable! Thanks for sharing Patsy’s Place with us.

Dream cabin!!

Laura,
From the first contact with you about your cabin, I knew we were going to love it. Upon arrival on Saturday, my family and I were speechless! The outside was stunning, and the kids loved the red stars on the outside of the house. As we entered the house the kids ran to their room, which had three beds, and all were beautifully made with stuffed animals on top. The kids were ecstatic.
The house was beautifully decorated, you have thought of every last detail. We have 3 children, ages almost 6 and twins who are 4 1/2 years. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pan, and baking sheets....and much more. It was great for us as we were able to eat at the cabin -truly was a home!
The location was ideal as it was at the end of the street, so the kids could play outside with no concerns of cars or traffic. It was close to sledding and Homewood resort, which was also great.
This is a hidden gem, and we hope to stay here again soon. Laura, thank you again for sharing your home with us, we had an amazing time.

Owner's Response: Thank you Jill we try to impart a stay for families that will bring lasting memories of Lake Tahoe. I know my uncles cabin did that for me and my 3 brothers...the girl gets a second coat of stain this spring bringing out more of that luster and we hope to build upon the garden as we go forward in years to come...thank you again for your review as my cleaner said, another stellar family....thank you again without families like yours we wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Hidden Gem is an understatement

My wife and I decided to take our kids to for a holiday week in the snow for the first time (2 & 4 years old) and we were very impressed with this property.

Beginning with the owner Laura, she could not have been a more pleasant and honest person to rent a property from. She was very attentive to preparing the property, dates, and all around experience for our family to visit Tahoe. Although my wife and I have spent years visiting the Lake Tahoe area, this was by far at the top of our lists of places we have stayed. The property was very clean and well taken care of with 5 star amenities. Luckily, we have 4-6 feet of snow fall the day we arrived and we were able to take advantage of the large snow filled yard which is set at a dead end of the street. No through traffic and plenty of play space for the kids.

As someone who loves to cook with a wife who loves to bake, the kitchen was perfectly organized and provided every utensil needed in order make our holiday week just like home. We had outside views of the falling snow from every angle as we cooked prime rib, turkey, cookies and more.

The bedrooms were extremely spacious and comfortable and provided plenty of drawer and shelf space. Everything was very well kept and and clean. The 2 bathrooms were also very well kept and clean with deep tubs to sit and relax in after a hard day of playing in the snow.

When we were finally able to relax, the family room provided an excellent snowy mountain environmental where we could read a book or watch some TV while sitting in front of the warm fire place. We truly felt like we were all alone in a remote cabin, yet only minutes from Tahoe City if we needed to go into town or down the road to the nearby grocery. I really could not have asked for a better place to stay in Tahoe and we plan on returning.

Thank you Laura for everything. :)

Fairy Tale Cabin!

5 of 5
Submitted: November 28, 2012 Stayed: November 2012
Short version: This place is absolutely amazing, and I 110% recommend it! Worth every penny, in fact it is a bargain!

Long version: Where to begin...as we drove down the street we waited to see Patsy's Place, and then it came into view....breathtaking! As the title suggests, this home looks like an absolute fairy tale from the outside - certainly one of nicest, best kept, gems in Tahoma. The location is unbelievable - at the end of a dead end street, located on a HUGE lot, and on the very edge of a state park filled with trees, silence, and beauty.

And if you think seeing the outside is exciting, wait until you step through the front door! This place is like a five star hotel. A beautiful gas fireplace, flat screen with cable TV, and built in surround sound await you in the living room. The kitchen is practically brand new, and the rest of the home looks completely remodeled. The upstairs bedroom provides great privacy, and the master bath.....WOW! Hug bath tub, heated toilet seat, in-floor heating, HUGE shower...amazing is an insufficient word to describe this property.

It was truly a pleasure to stay in this home. Laura even provides practically everything you need - shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath salts, teas, coffee...the list seriously keeps going. If this place seems too good to be true, that's because it is. I had to keep pinching myself when I was there.

Thank you Laura for sharing this gem of a home with folks. My family had an amazing stay, and I certainly hope to come again!
