Overview

Tahoma Cabin Rental Photos and Description

2 bedrooms 2 baths, sleeps 1-6-Beds for all no pull out couch.

Welcome to Patsy's Place - it is our second home. It is an amazing updated 1959 cabin that has been painstakingly updated from the foundation to the roof.is situated on 3 lots on the West shore in Tahoma, CA. The uniqueness of this space is that it can host a party for 50 or more outside on the grounds, but the cabin itself can accommodate 1-6 peoples. The first thing you will notice when entering this property is the gorgeous setting, it is truly quite lovely and you won't get any closer to Sugar Pine Point State Park as you can see from the pictures it is literally and seamlessly in your front yard in fact it feels like it is part of the front yard

We have worked very hard to update most all of the appliances, providing a wonderful kitchen and living space. The cabin itself is over 1550 sqft, comfortable, charming and well kept. The kitchen, dining room and living room host an open plan, leading down the hall to a rather comfortably sized bathroom with shower and soaking tub

Charming beyond Belief-: We have 1 bedroom downstairs that will acommodate 4 persons, child or adult queen & 2 xl twins. There is a master bedroom upstairs that has a king bed . You will find plenty of storage. Although no need to bring sheets or pillows, we provide all cotton sheets and down pillows, large bath sheets and beach towels. We try to make each and every stay one that we ourselves would want to experience. One of the beautiful features about the cabin is the outdoor space-we have an enormous 3/4 wrap around deck that is close to the ground, we have worked hard to clean up the grounds and continue to work on the garden.

Hopefully by the pictures you can see the charm of Ole Tahoe, but the beauty is that it is updated and provides for a very wonderfully restful stay. New addition, with new mudroom, 6 more feet in the living room, new gas fireplace with stone surround and carved wood mantel. New laundry room with full washer and dryer. new masterbedroom..

This is the place you want to bring your Sweetheart, the place you've hadn't had the time to read that book or better yet write your biography. Patsy's Place is truly about renewing your spirit. You may hear a few children in the neighborhood, but at night it is something rarely ever experienced, total silence.

Enjoy the little town of Tahoma, West Side Pizza, PDQ Market-try their sandwiches, the local video shop....there is a small HOA rocked beach, but Meeks Bay Beach is a few miles south and Chambers Landing is a short skip North. Homewood Ski is very close and check out Homewood Obedexer's new deli itis north and Squaw Valley is about 25 minutes NW.

We feel you will think you have found a little jewel in the Tahoe Basin, as we feel we were blessed to be stewards of this beautiful property. Please inquire as to our availability and don't hesitate to ask questions.

We wish you and yours a very wonderful and fulfilling stay at Patsy's Place, Tahom

Yeah we are finally done with the addition! And every inch was magically touche. Just enough room but not enough to get lost in. We are proud of where we started and where we are at. This is a very special location....we hope you agree.

About Laura Franceschini

My husband and I are Organic farmers in the Sacramento Delta. We painstakingly refurbished and cleaned up the very large lot and old cabin to make it more comfortable ....everything about this place will leave you thinking wow, how many rentals do you find like this.

Laura Franceschini purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Laura Franceschini chose Tahoma

We chose this property because it was the last home on the block, half acre, fronting Sugar Pine Point State Park

What makes this cabin unique

Charm beyond compare, large private lot, large deck, gardens, cabin set back no through traffic so very peaceful and quiet.

Guestbook comments from the manager

What a wonderful place. Thank you so much for sharing it. What a wonderful remodel, you have made it so cozy and relaxing. We enjoyed the fire pit, the yard is beautiful. We brought our Kayak's and kayaked to Emerald Bay and stopped at the island to explore the Tea House, that was so cool. Enjoyed seeing the snow. Just glad we got 2 days to kayak. Also went on 2 hikes. Tahoe is just so breath taking. We will be back again.

Unsurpassed Quality

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stop of a two week road trip and of all the places we stayed, this was the most accommodating, comfortable, and memorable! The ambiance of the cabin is historic and true to the Tahoe theme, but with the modern luxuries of quality construction, a highly functional and stocked kitchen, laundry, dreamy beds and spa-quality baths. We truly were in need of nothing other than a longer stay!

Must See !

  • 5 of 5

My family and I were a little weary being that the last cabin we stayed in August was a hot mess. It had 5 stars but was nothing more then a 2 star. Looking for weeks I discovered your cabin. Reading all the reviews it was apparent there were many that were 5 stars we decided to book. I have to tell you my family and I were pleasantly surprised just pulling into the driveway. The exterior was very well maintained with a large property. Walking into the cabin took our breath away. The interior was very clean. The cabin is up to date and the furniture was very clean. It looked like it belonged in a magazine. The kitchen is beautiful, it was stocked with anything and everything you could need. The laundry room was large with a front loading washer and dryer that made our trip very convenient. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were one of the most conformable beds we have been in. I met family from California there for a wedding. They stopped by to meet us to go snow boarding, they couldn't believe their eyes. I would highly recommend this cabin. If I ever make it back to Tahoe I know where we will be staying.

Owner's Response: Thanks Jay, I know it takes trust in booking ones cabin. I too have rented many only to be disappointed. I have worked very hard from 2008 to bring my dream together and share it with others. I believed if I could create a place that felt like home, magical in its appearance, clean beyond compare folks would come back and refer others. Thank you and your family for trusting and booking, my cleaner was impressed you washed and dried all the towels...Bravo and thanks for being such great guests to host. Peace & Pinecones-Laura

Perfect Honeymoon

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Patsy's Place and from the second we drove up we knew we had booked the right place. The cabin was spotless, cozy, inviting, and everything we wanted for our honeymoon. The kitchen is wonderful, the downstairs is great, but the upstairs is spectacular. From the massive shower to the comfortable bed, it was better than we could have imagined.

The cabin had everything we could have needed, was such a close drive to the nearby market, close to the main strip with restaurants and shops. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Everything one could dream about

  • 5 of 5

This is the best place we've rented. Ever. Clean, cozy, warm, welcoming. Every single detail is thoroughly thought through: kitchen is 200% equipped, beds are soft and comfortable, bathrooms are literally sterile & also more than just fully equipped with everything one might need. The moment we entered the house we felt ourselves at home, our 3-year old was running around screaming "it is so cool here"! The house was beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, there was a Christmas tree inside. We were really impressed with how much love and attention everything was arranged. Thank you, Laura & Tim. We'll definitely come back.

A dreamy cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our family just had the most wonderful Christmas ever: snow and Patsy's Place, can it get any better than that? It was our first time at this cabin and it is hard to describe the excitement and amazement we experienced as we began to familiarize ourselves with everything. The place is SPOTLESS, the walls, the floors, the counters, everything shines; the furniture, the appliances, the decorations are all a testimony to the owner's good taste and love for quality. The cabin is very cozy and I have to agree that it is equipped with all you could possibly need. We appreciated the signs cleverly and neatly displayed throughout the house for making the use of all things easy. There are plenty of board games and movies to enjoy. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas, including a Christmas tree in the living room and colorful lights outside. There is a light projector in the front yard that covers everything with hundreds of green stars at night! This cabin also offers a large private outdoors space with a beautiful view, as the lot is right next to the Sugar Pine Point State Park. Lots of trees! It started snowing right when we got there, so you can imagine why we chose to spend the whole first afternoon walking and playing outside. Tahoe City and various ski resorts are not too far from Tahoma, but for our family the highlight of every day was returning to Patsy's Place. I cannot imagine any reason somebody would not want to return to this cabin; we shared the info with our friends and already have people asking for contact numbers. Thank you Laura!

Loved this cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at several cabins throughout the years while going on different ski vacations, and this BY FAR was the favorite for every member of our family! The home is beautifully done with a cozy feel. Since we were there right before Christmas, the home was decorated for the season with amazing lights outside, a fantastically decorated Christmas tree inside, other decorations in the bathrooms, and of course, stockings hung by the amazing fireplace. When booking, we were a little worried about the distance of the cabin to the different ski resorts. However, the location was perfect because we were able to ski both Squaw and Northstar and not have too big a drive to either. The mud room made it easy for us to keep our ski equipment right up front without creating a wet mess in the house. We were absolutely amazed as to how well everything was stocked in the kitchen. Every ware item we needed for cooking was available. The beds were among the most comfortable we've ever slept on away from home, and the bedding was great! Although we barely watched TV, the electronics were top notch, and there were movies to choose from if we wanted. The kids played Monopoly one night, and there were several other games in the closet to choose from. Our experience was so fantastic that we are already hoping to come back in the summer!
