This Foggy Bottom home is fantastic. The location is perfect. We were able to walk to Georgetown and the Metro was two blocks away. Diana is my kind of host; she keeps a spotless home which is very comfortable. The patio out back is an added bonus in the city. The house is equipped with everything you need if you wanted to eat in which we didn't since Washington has so many wonderful restaurants. Diana's suggestion of Founding Farmers for breakfast was great. Do not hesitate to rent this property.
Lovely home with everything you could ask for!! Comfy beds, awesome kitchen and walking distance to Foggy Bottom Metro !! Definitely worth the money!! My new DC home away from home.
We spent 11 nights in this lovely Foggy Bottom house in March-April. The house was exactly as in the pictures, and it was clean, comfortable, very functional and well-equipped. We did not miss anything during our stay, and we ate in all mornings and all evenings.
The location of the house is perfect, on a very quaint and quiet street with beautiful houses, and very close to a lively George Washington University city campus. And there is a metro stop and a Whole Foods Market only two blocks away.
If you like to walk like we do, you'll notice that you can walk to all major sights, and also to the lovely Georgetown.
The owner Diana was also very responsive and helpful.
We can recommend this rental to anyone.
This home is conveniently located within easy walking distance to all the sites and only 2 blocks from the Metro station and Whole Foods. Our family (2 parents and 2 teenagers) had a wonderful winter break in this home. Everything we wanted to do in Wash DC was very accessible from this house. We felt like we could live like the locals in Foggy Bottom. Diana, the owner, was friendly and help when we arrived on our first day, and she was responsive when we had questions in the middle of the week.
This was exactly what we were looking for. We are five 40 year old woman coming from all over away for had a girls weekend - the location could not be beat. The house was perfect for the five of us. Diana provided us with parking passes (super easy to park!), while two of us flew into DCA - couldn't be easier to get to. If we head back to DC, I will DEFINITELY be reaching back out to Diana and staying in one of her homes. We tend to have pretty high expectations and they were surpassed.
We loved this row home in Foggy Bottom. It was perfect for our group. Two bedrooms have Q beds and there is an extra room with a twin bed that was perfect for my son (the only male on the trip). The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and renovated. The mattresses were comfortable. We loved the key code entrance so we didn't have to keep up with a key. Diana was wonderful and attentive. She provided shampoo etc and the kitchen had staples such as tea, coffee, sweeteners. Whole Foods is a simple walk about 5 blocks away as is the Metro. It was a great location to the Metro, felt safe and secure. The only thing I would suggest is to have a carpenter use small finishing nails in the hardwood floors (that are beautiful and add great character) so they aren't as squeaky.
Walk to the Smithsonian Museums, Kennedy Center for Performing Arts (free performance every evening at 6pm), Potomac River, Georgetown Harbor, Rowing, Boating, Bike Rentals
