Newly constructed cottage offering all mod cons yet with old world character. Accommodation is spacious and set on eleven acres with private garden and barbecue area as well as childrens play area. The cottage is two minutes walk from Connemara National Park .. a hillwalkers paradise. On the edge of Letterfrack village minutes walk from pubs that not only serve food but are also great places to hear traditional Irish music at it's best. Also around the corner from superb thatch restaurant.. a must. The sea is minutes walk away and there are many lovely beaches in the area. The cottage is well appointed for taking part in a whole range of activities from golf , deep sea and river fishing, diving,adventure sports, sailing, visiting Inish Boffin Island and loads more. A lovely place to stay at anytime of the year.

This house is identical to Heatherhill cottage. Each house is set on large , private site with own garden. There is also alot of shared garden and go-karts for children to cycle in very safe environment with great views of Connemara National Park and Diamond mountain. The house is ideal for a large group or family reunion. Letterfrack village is a few minutes walk away and has a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The Connemara national park is based in the village and is the starting point for some great walks. There is a good information centre and childrens activities held in the park.

Letterfrack is a small but lively village overlooked by the Diamond mountain in the most beautiful part of unspoilt Connemara. The cottage is ideally located beside mountains and sea offering great hillwalking and crystal clear sea and white sands. After a days activity or sight seeing it is a short stroll to the village for a drink and a meal in one of three pubs or restaurants and to catch abit of traditional music. Connemara National Park is also based in Letterfrack village a few minutes walk from the house. There is a walkers path all the way to the top of diamond Mountain (one of the 12 Bens) which offers great views out to sea and over to Mayo. There is an interpretive centre and tearoom at the base of the mountain walk and this is also the starting point of other walks. Boat trips can be taken from the pier in Letterfrack.

    Heatherhill has children's play area, a small farm with 2 pigs, ponies, hens and go-karts and scooters for children.

Heatherhill Cottage is a few minutes walk from the sea and only two miles from the nearest sandy beach, one of the many beaches in the area with crystal clear waters and white sand. The cottage is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is lots to see and do in the area.

There is lots to do from fishing in the lakes and sea , hill walking , sight seeing ( the neo gothic Abbey at Kylemore with it`s victorian gardens is two miles away ) , Killary Adventure Centre is nearby and if diving is your thing Dive West provide an oppurtunity to dive in the crystal clear waters which are teeming with fish here on the west coast of Ireland .

Fabulas cottage on the connemara

Stayed here in July 2011. 5 Adults, 4 small Children & 3 dogs. House includes all the amenities including washing machine, tumble drier and dish washer as well as Wi Fi. and was close to the shop & pubs. Downstairs play room/pet room perfect for kids to play.
The Location was excellent for touring around and sight seeing. Beaches were clean and sandy.
Great, fast communications with Owner who lives nearby. Highly recommended. We loved the cottage and the connemara area.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Our holiday at Heatherhill

This turned out to be perfect for our family.We have 3 children and the amount of safe playing area was great.Our 9 year old recommends the go karts,building cubby houses in the trees,blackberry picking and the playground at the nat.park.For us the easy access to endless walking trails in the area was a highlight . A foodstore 2mins walk away turned out to be a practical bonus, also the fact that the house had lots of room turned out to be important on wet days.I would easily recommend it for any family looking for an active,outdoor holiday with a spacious,comfy house to retreat to.We had a great time !!
