My wife, our basset hound, and I stayed here for four days and had a lovely time. It's remote, but within a community (brings a sense of security), and close to all the happenings in the High Country. We never saw a soul; with exception to a wild turkey and the back of the owners vehicle one late afternoon, but that was it. The owners really respected our privacy. The cabin was clean on arrival and little notes were strategically placed throughout to help guests navigate various features; lights, hot tub, fireplace, etc. It's a great place to unwind and relax. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay while visiting the Carolina High Country, a great place to relax, or a great romantic getaway. One extra side note for dog owners... it was really nice for our dog; we could let her out to roam unsupervised. The property has a certain secure feel about it. I never worried about the dog while she was outside.
Owner's Response: We are glad that you were able to enjoy a restful vacation at our cabin. Thank you for your note about having secure feel about our place but please remember that our cabins are in the forest. While there are no people and vehicles to watch out for at the cabin’s ground, there is abundant wildlife (i.e. coyotes, snakes, yellow jacket nest) that can be dangerous to unsuspecting dog. So it’s best to always keep watchful eye on the pets.
