House, 4 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Relax in a lovely four bedroom single family waterfront home that is located just 5 miles south of downtown Egg Harbor on scenic Bay Shore Drive.

Swim and fish from the pier and enjoy the sunset with a bonfire at the beach. Master and 2 other bedrooms upstairs with full hall bath and separate couples' or kids' bedroom off the living space on the first floor next to full bath on ground level.

Nicely-appointed living room with fireplace and massive deck that has some of the best views in Door County. Large master bedroom facing the water w/ screened porch and a separate bunk house by the water with heat, phone, internet and electricity. Granite counters, high-end appliances, hardwood floors and large kids playroom in the basement. There are bathrooms on all 3 levels of the house.

The property is on 1.4 acres surrounded mostly with cedar, birch and hardwood trees.

It has the benefit of being near to town (both Egg Harbor and Sturgeon Bay) and also has the peace and tranquility of being off the beaten path. A waterfront road without the drawback of traffic. When looking out the front of the house, you have the feel of a cabin in the woods, with deer crossing on occasion. When you look out the back, you are right at the water. Located in one of the most desirable areas of Door County on a street that is packed with million dollar-plus homes.

About Carter Ruehrdanz

My wife and I grew up in the Chicago area and after vacationing in Door County many times in the 1990's we decided to buy our own place in Egg Harbor in 2003. We really enjoy our time there.

Door County Wisconsin is probably the best area for a family vacation in the Midwest. After many years of renting we found a house that has one of the best settings on the peninsula. The house is set back from the road in a private setting located just 5 miles south of Egg Harbor on the scenic Bay Shore Drive.

What makes this house unique

Wonderful views of Green Bay facing west for sunsets. The rock beach is ideal for bonfires and swimming. Large deck at the house and an additional deck down by the water with a nice bunk house. One of the best layouts for a rental property that we've seen. HDTV, internet, fireplace, modern kitchen, grill, pier and basement playroom.

Notes: Through the downstairs bedroom there is acces to a nicely finished kids room in the basement with it's own separate bathroom. It has a large game table, couch and TV. It even has a great view of the lake. Even thought it has a low ceiling height (appx. 6') it provides a great space for overflow guests.

We had a great time at the rental. It was for our annual sisters weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed the home and view of the lake. The house was very comfortable and the setting very beautiful. Loved the sunset.

A Fantastic Experience

This property is absolutely marvelous. The house is very comfortable and the setting is stunning. We were very lucky to be there during the peak weekend of the fall with all the leaves turning and had a few days of great weather. There was a good supply of split firewood and we were able to have a bonfire down at the beach. We've rented this house in the fall for several years and the owner keeps making improvements to the property. Everything was clean and well maintained. We look forward to going back next year.

Labor Day Weekend

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We came home with lots of fond memories. It was so quiet and peaceful with lots of outdoor space. Our two year old grandson caught his first fish from the dock. The sunsets were absolutely gorgeous! The outdoor fire pit was a favorite after dark for roasting marshmallows and sharing stories. The house itself was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-furnished.
It is in a very convenient location. We hope to return again soon.

Beautiful Sunsets!!!!

We spent a weekend and really enjoyed the place. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed. My son really enjoyed the waterfront, and we all enjoyed the breathtaking sunsets!! It was such a relaxing and peaceful environment for the perfect weekend with family. However, a weekend was no where long enough to enjoy the area. I hope to get back to the area again, and stay for a bit longer.
