Walk to the Capitol from Comfy Apartment

Our family really enjoyed our one-week stay here. The listing descriptions were accurate and the pictures show exactly what the place looks like: clean, spacious and very nicely decorated.

My daughter slept well on the comfortable couch bed. It was her own cozy space within the living room to spread out and relax. Our bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable with ample pillows to choose from. We slept well. We didn't do a lot of cooking, but found everything in working order and had all that we needed to make quick breakfasts in the morning. Having the washer and dryer in our unit made doing laundry a breeze (often a big chore if staying in hotels). We had good wi-fi connection throughout our stay, and a printer available if we needed it. There was ample reading material, including area maps and guides, coffee table books, novels, non-fiction and very interesting and relevant topical books. There were also lots of movies on DVD to choose from.

The neighborhood was safe and quiet. We enjoyed our daily walk to and from Union Station Metro station as it gave us a pleasant feel of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. The walk was level took about 15 minutes, or 10 minutes at a brisk pace. We felt safe enough walking in the area shortly after dark, and saw families, couples and individuals out at that time as well.

Cindy was very warm and gracious. She made us feel welcomed and at home from the beginning. Rich also was kind and responded to our needs quickly. Knowing that they were available and upstairs from us gave us an added sense of security.

We would definitely recommend this rental. We thought their rates were very reasonable and we were very comfortable and happy with all that was provided.

We spend 3 nights at the apartment, my husband, my three daughters and me. We had a great time despite the summer heat. The place is very well located, walking distance to main attractions. Mostly we felt that the owner cares about their tenants, providing with little comforting details (Washington maps and guides, coffee and tea, etc.). The place is well equipped and clean, the air conditioning was well appreciated. We would definitely come back again.

The apartment was really lovely, and the location is great -- right near Union Station and walking distance to the Capitol.

Cindy and Rich provided coffee, extra toiletry items, and plenty of towels. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and pots and pans. There were tour books, maps and other DC info available to help work out our tourist activities. There were even takeout menus for local restaurants!

They are great "landlords" and I'd certainly stay there again on any future visit to DC.
