July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum during this time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
Your mountain retreat – Monarch Mountain Chalet– has wood paneling throughout the lodge to create a warm, inviting mountain feel. The spacious living area has a large rock wood burning fireplace, comfy furniture and a flat screen TV. The family room, just off of the kitchen, has the perfect games room ambiance with a wood burning stove and plenty of comfortable sofas to kick back on. The kitchen features pretty cobalt blue tile and is fully equipped for creating home cooked meals or better yet, throw some burgers and brats on the BBQ, and call it good!
Monarch Mountain Chalet features an expansive wrap-around deck, perfect for relaxing. This home is in Maysville, between Salida and Monarch Mountain. The neighboring houses vary from nicely kept (though interestingly painted!) modulars to log style mountain homes. There is a close neighbor to the west visible from the deck. There are open areas to the south and east. ***Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king size bed and private deck for solitude or stargazing. The full size futon adds a cozy reading area or extra sleeping space. The second bedroom has a western theme with bunk beds and a full size bed as well as a roll away cot/bed in the closet. The two bedrooms can sleep 9. There is a full size sofa bed in the family room and an additional guest will find the couch in the great room big and comfortable for a total of 12 sleepers.
Come to Monarch Mountain Chalet for ski, biking or hiking adventures, to lounge on the deck in the Colorado sunshine or snuggle up with a book next to wood burning stove. Monarch Mountain Chalet is your western mountain retreat; come enjoy!
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are 'vacation ready' with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soap are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with a $35 cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance of High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Rates are based on six person occupancy. Add $10 per person per night over 6 people. Extended stay rates are available subject to owner use and availability. Please read rental policies (tab at bottom of page). Published seasons and rates are for pricing purposes only. Actual availability is subject to owner use.
$45 applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. For stays of less than 3 nights, the other half of the cleaning fee will be charged ($35). Visa or Master Card accepted. Cash or Check receives a 2.9% discount.

Cancellation Policy A reservation may be cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in but may be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. Sorry, no refunds will be given for reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to check-in unless the unit can be re-rented for the same dates, or, in some cases at manager's discretion, you move your reservation to another date.
