STUNNING VIEWS-PRIVATE VILLA-ROMANTIC AMBIANCE. CATCH SUNRISE OVER THE CARIBBEAN OCEAN & SUNSET OVER THE BAY.
Words can hardly describe the experience of a stay at Casa VAYA VIDA on the breath-takingly beautiful southern point of Isla Mujeres. The villa is situated on the eastern most point of Mexico, on a cliff overlooking the incredible Caribbean turquoise waters of the Bay of Mujeres. An extraordinarily romantic and private villa, Vaya Vida is where the stars meet the sea. Whether you are celebrating a honeymoon, a small wedding, a commitment ceremony or just a wonderful break with family and friends, Vaya Vida is the place to come and be inspired.
Located on the southern most point of the Island at 1 Paseo Punta Sur, Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Mayan Rivera, Mexico. The casa is 45 feet above the bay with stunning unobstructed 360/Panoramic view of the Mexican Caribbean and Bay views; boasting spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The house is a couple hundred yards away from Garrafon Natural Reef Park and the Mayan Templo Ixchel, with Sculpture Garden & Lighthouse. Ask any local about this end of the island and the word you hear over and over is “tranquillo.” But for the more adventurous, many amazing journeys await you - from world class snorkeling and diving to swimming with dolphins, from fantastic local cuisine to visits to the largest pyramids in the world only a day trip away. Come and be enchanted!
“First of all, Isla Mujeres has to be one of the most beautiful, elevating places on the planet. This was our first time there and will not be the last. Casa Vaya Vida sits on the premier location on this island, Punta Sur, the pinnacle of beauty and tranquility. The pictures do not accurately reflect CVV: the place transcends what a one-dimensional photo can depict. A few words: Spacious. Private. Accommodating. Comfortable. Transporting. Aesthetically perfect. Breathtaking. Every day more magic is revealed…” -Guest: RAY WADDELL

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We had a really wonderful holiday. I'm sure you hear it all the time...but it was truly exceptional.
A few notes to help with further visits:
Would be good to get the 'move-in' details the day before we arrive. We spent 2-3 hours outside the house trying to get a hold of Monica (we left early from Canada and had no internet access.) There was no reception to download your welcome email so we didn't know about the codes to get in. I thought Monica was going to meet us at the villa. trying our internet cost about $120 ($3/minute). No biggie, but might be good for future visitors. We ended up using the neighbours internet access to get your email.
The oven is tricky to use. You have to hold down the ignite button for a very long time (while the gas is on) and then it starts up. A sticky note explaining this would be good. We threw out all our 'bake-able' food as we thought the oven was broken until the day before we left.
Toaster has seen better days :) (sorry...I love to cook...I don't mean to hard on the kitchen.) Awesome knives though.
A note explaining that cleaners and support staff will be using the space during your stay to wash linens/store water bottles for other villas etc.. while you are staying there would be a good idea. Everyone was super nice and we didn't mind. Just never knew who was on the property.
Minor tweaks. I know that I would want to be informed if it was my place.
Already talking about next year (we had friends staying in Cancun come over and have lunch with us and they want to rent next year as well ;))
Thanks again. Take good care.
We are so thankful for this opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. The pictures of the house dont do it justice. The house was super clean and our groceries were waiting for us when we arrived.
We woke up fairly early in the mornings and walked all over. Then we enjoyed a cup of coffee and looked at the water. What a relaxing week with family!!
We had breakfast twice at Mango Cafe and dinner once. We loved Qubanos. We had lunch and all of us ordered the sampler which was amazing. We spent two days at the Fenix beach and rented a stand up paddle board which was really fun. We had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the water. One day we got massages there at the beach club. We had pizza at Oscar's in the back near the boats and it was really good. We had dinner at Olivia's - it was an outstanding meal! Probably our favorite if we had to pick. We had dinner at a fairly new place on the sidewalk at Rueben's and we loved it. Our last night we had dinner at Lolo Loraine's and it was a memorable experience.
We asked Omar (golf cart guy that you suggested) if he knew anyone with a sailboat we might rent and sure enough he found one. The man is from Belgium and the company is really new Adventure Experiences - his name is Sebastian. His boat is a 2010 46' Jeanneau. A beautiful boat. He sailed us around for 4 hours and took us swimming and snorkeling, lunch, and all for a very reasonable price. It was private and a real treat.
We hung out by the pool almost eery day. Amazing! We played games at the house every night.
Most of all we were captivated every single day and night be the view from your house in every room and outside. I have been all over the world but I have not ever experienced a view quite like yours.
We were grateful for all of the information you sent to us before our trip. We followed your suggestions and everything went VERY smoothly.
We just returned from an amazing week at this beautiful home! My husband and I traveled with another couple we're all in our 30s for reference and traveled March 2015. The communication prior to travel with the owner and Monica was fantastic prior to travel. The home is absolutely beautiful, very clean with the most amazing outdoor space and view! I really want to take the time to include some tips which I didn't find in most reviews.
Make sure to have Monica book golf cart, and travel from airport as she get's you a great deal and does a great job. Once you get there you will pay the golf cart and the travel company directly. Also, when speaking with golf cart company let them know day and time you want them to pick up the cart, we made that mistake and they came a day early so be very specific with them.
Bring a lot of Cash-many places do not take credit cards and if they do most only take Visa or MC NOT AMEX so if you plan on using your amex don't! You can use mostly US dollars but bring some pesos as well.
The internet is spotty at best and pretty much non existent for our trip, all of us have little children so we were hoping to face time which was impossible this trip. They do have a landline you can use for free calls to the US which was nice but do not plan on using internet. I noticed it worked at other resorts so it may have not been working and we did not call to get it fixed which we could've done just don't really plan on the internet.
We preordered groceries which was not necessary there is a large grocery store in the middle of the island which is easy to shop and cheap so there really isn't a need to pre order groceries, but was a nice service if you want it. They came to clean everyday which is a nice touch for a home rental! The pool is small but we felt it was adequate and used it quite a bit. There are 3 bedrooms the master is HUGE with a large king bed, the other two were adequate with full/queens so if going with couples know that going in. There are a lot of beaches on the south side which are free or cheap, one for 60 pescos which is great for snorkeling and swimming, and two beach clubs (can't remember the name, are in welcome pack) which are free (just order a drink) and gorgeous. The outdoor space is plentiful and amazing!!! The kitchen was nice and adequate but stove could be intermittent but overall nice. Over all this is a fabulous home with a view that is impossible to beat, I would go again and again!
I didn't really know what to expect staying here compared to anywhere else on the island of on this side of Mexico and I was blown away at how it exceeded every possible expectation I could have had. This property is amazing, the location is ridiculously gorgeous, so clean, amazing service, spacious, safe, fun, relaxing... I can't say enough.
The instructions and attention to detail are outstanding. The furniture is beautiful. The games are amazing and plentiful. The pool was paradise. I could go on forever but I'll leave it at this... trust me you won't be disappointed.
We have traveled to the Rivera Maya resorts and Caribbean Island resorts a dozen times or more in the last 8 years, however Casa Vaya Vida was a new experience. The home is in excellent condition and the views spectacular! Everything from the airport transfers to the golf cart ready for our use was seamless. Monica, the property manger, made the arrangements and checked in with us to be sure everything was in order, and it was. The kitchen is well equipped, we had breakfast and snakes during the day and dinned out in the evenings. There are many fine restaurants on the Isla, check the top 10 on Trip Advisor and you will not be disappointed. The home is amazing and It’s a pleasure when a trip meets your hopes and expectations! The housekeepers do a great job as well as the rest of her staff. Also the home as lots of games for all ages and a large number of books, they are a treat and fun was had by all. And the info books provided are most helpful. We will definitely return, hopefully this fall.
This villa is spectacular! It's huge and has great views, and it's very classy, modern, and comfortable. Also, the owner (Teresa) was extremely helpful with much more than just the villa itself. My wife and I just got married in Isla Mujeres, and Teresa helped us find a great wedding planner on the island, plus a fishing trip excursion, taxi and shuttle services, food recommendations, and everything. Also, Monica, the property manager helped us by delivering a Pack n Play to the villa before we arrived, which my brother and sister-in-law needed for their 18 month old daughter. We had everything we needed on our vacation, and all of our guests were very happy!
From relaxation to adventurous activities. We can customize an itinerary for you. Excursions to Whalesharks, Isla Contoy Bird Sanctuary, Jungle visits, and Mayan Ruins.
