The Villa is one of 6 luxury Villas at the southern tip of Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres.
The Villa’s backyard is nested on the Bay side and the front of the Villa faces the Caribbean Ocean. The width of the Island at the Villa is about 220 yards. (No buildings/obstructions between the Villa and the Ocean or the Bay.)
Punta Sur is located at the southern tip of Isla Mujeres, 20 meters above sea level, where the rising sun first touches Mexico. This is the highest elevation in the Yucatan.
The Punta Sur Cultural Center includes a variety of local vendors, ice cream shop, snack bar, and an open-air restaurant.
The Sculpture Park is an outdoor art exhibit in one of the most breathtaking, tropical settings. The Sebastian Foundation, along with 23 artists from Mexico and around the world, created this exhibit for Isla Mujeres in 2001. Famous sculptors such as Jose Luis Cuevas used modern shapes and bright hues to interpret the legendary spirit of the Mayan civilization.
The Mayan Temple to Ixchel is perched on the cliff at the very tip of the Island, where the Caribbean Ocean and Bay collide. In the Mayan culture, Ixchel is the Goddess of the Moon. Known as the wife of the Sun, she is also considered a fertility goddess with great healing powers.
