SUMMIT LAKE FRONT HOME

We spent a family Christmas at the property. We had a wonderful time. Food is a big part of the family holiday experience. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook the big family feast.
Obviously the weather was not conducive to swimming. But it snowed Christmas day and made it feel like home. The lake was beautiful in the snow. The best part was it melted the next day.
We would definitely recommend the house to anyone looking to get away. It seemed as if we had the lake all to ourselves. It is very peaceful and quiet.

We spent a fantastic week with our family at the Henry House. The view from every window was spectacular! The house felt like a home; clean, comfy and well stocked with pretty much everything we could possibly need. The fire pit itself was amazing and Huge – made from some kind of industrial steel and had plenty of wood stockpiled. The swimming area was safe for my little 4yr old grandchild who was either pretending to be a fish or on the dock playing the fisherman. We caught 8 fish right off the dock during mid day with high activity and waves plus the kayaking was great during the morning calm. The grassy lawn was a refreshing change from rocky shorelines we’ve stayed on, and was a great place to play with little ones along with leaving plenty of room to set our awning up for afternoon shade. This house is a combination of serene beauty and an aerobic workout from the path and stairs … you don’t want to forget things when you go down to the dock for it’s a steep climb back … but while worth the exercise! Our only concern about this house was there is no cell service in case of any injuries or emergencies (which we had but a very minor one); however we still talked of making this an annual event – and one that we’ll all definitely recommend!

What an amazing home with spectacular views of Summit Lake!!! The home was very clean and had every amenity that we needed. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of blankets and pillows provided. We live in Florida and the weather was awesome the 10 days that we spent in Washington. Jim and Debbie are awesome to work with. We will definitley be back again!!
