We stay at VRBO properties often. This by far surpasses other experiences we have had. The condo is immaculate. It is much better appointed than other rentals. The linens are top quality. The kitchen has more in it than I have ever found in a VRBO and everything is in great condition. The fireplace was great to play games in front of. We loved having 2 televisions so that the kids could watch a movie and we could watch on our own in the evening. There are movies, games and books and crayons for the kids. We even found a first aid kit when we needed a band-aid. There is a washer and drier in the unit, which was helpful for us.
It was fun to watch the skiers on the mountain. One day we went cross country skiing. I recommend checking out the Solitude Nordic Center for a change of pace. We loved it. They even rent snow shoes, which we hope to do next time. There is also a ski rental steps from the building and the lifts are rite there as well.
The kids loved Club Solitude, which is a clubhouse with fooseball ,pool table, video games, other games,a printer (for boarding pass), a pool , sauna, and hot tub. The people running it were helpful. There is also a hot tub in the building. All of these amenities were in excellent condition as well.
We ordered pizza from the place directly outside the building and it was fantastic! Besides that we made a lot of our own meals. Next time we may take advantage of the owners' concierge services and have them stock the fridge before we arrive. Canyon Transportation stops at the grocery on the way from the airport. Also, you do not need a car at Solitude. There is a SMALL store at Solitude so we could get little things and beer and wine.
The owners are very easy to work with and prompt.
It is always a gamble to choose a VRBO. We lucked out with this one.
