This gorgeous house has something for everyone. The ski slope is right outside your door whether you like to ski or just watch the others in your group. It is located next to the top of the intermediate slope where you get off the chair lift. Also the kids sled hill is right behind the house within short walking distance. The non-sledders can in one of the many porch rockers and watch the little kids have a ball! This home is located within the town limits of Beech Mountain and is within walking distance to several restaurants, gift shops and most of all Fred’s Mercantile and Grocery. So if the weather goes white and you get snowed in or the roads get icy, it’s really nice to be so close to the necessities of life!
Completely renovated in 2002 this beautifully decorated home with theme rooms of spring, summer winter and autumn are sure to please as this lovely home celebrates the each of the seasons with the bounty of all there is to do in the High County. The house is stocked with information guides and pamphlets all on the wonderful things to do and see no matter what the season. The home offers warmer weather amenities at the Beech Mountain Club such as golf, tennis, swimming, basketball, hiking trails, kids activities and more right on the mountain. Not far away down the mountain is Banner Elk with all the small town charm and conveniences you need or want with a full size Food Lion and Lowe's Food in addition to a Rite Aid Drugstore and all the specialty shops, delis, bistros and fine dining you could ever want!
The High County boasts all kinds of warm and cold weather activity such as water rapids, hiking trails, Zip lines, kayaking, skiing, tubing, snowboarding sledding and mountain biking. Attractions both old and newer generation include Tweetsie Railroad, The Blowing Rock, outdoor drama in Boone, "Horn in the West", Valley Crucis historic Mast General Store and Candy Barrel, Mystery Hill, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns and of course the wildlife preserve and swinging bridge of Grandfather Mountain. The list goes on and on of all the special places to go and things to do.
