Quaint Union Pier Cottage off the road and between 2 BR, 1 BA, sleeps 5

This cozy cottage 'The Alex' is placed behind 2 large homes and a 2-story cottage on this compound directly on Lake Michigan. The beach just a short stroll away. No need to cross the street, just walk behind the cottage, and in less than 1 minute you are relaxing with your family on the beach! This ranch-style cottage is ideal for a small family. It is 2BR, 1BA, and can sleep a maximum of 5. The cottage has been fully renovated w/all appliances and WiFi. Outdoor grill on the patio. It is a peaceful and quiet place, away from the street w/convenient parking and grassy area w/playground. 'The Alex' cottage is sandwiched 2 cottages from the road and 2 cottages from the beach. Very easy parking and unpacking to get your family set for your wonderful Lake Michigan beach vacation. Private beach access is right behind the house. Linens, beach towels and basic kitchen supplies are on-hand. Enjoy the sunsets! Stroll along the Lakeshore Dr., visit galleries in New Buffalo, go shopping to Lighthouse Place, visit the Zoo in Michigan City or just simply soak your feet in the fabulous Lake Michigan water.

Notes

  • Rates start at $600/weekend-$1500 per week in the fall & spring
  • The house is on dune and no walking to the beach!

    10% discount if you book all 4 of our Union Pier Cottages!

    We accept all credit cards- Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express
    Flexible arrival and departure days.

    Rates begin at $600/weekend in the Spring- $2400/week in the Summer

    We require a full week (7 nights/8 days) reservation in the Summer.

    We request a 3 night minimum during the Spring, Fall and Winter (when the cabin is accessible) months.
  • *Last-minute bookings welcome. Within 30 days require a payment by credit card.
    *Flexible arrival-departure time based on avail.
    For cancellations 30 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will refund your reservation deposit, less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
    *Refunds will not be given for cancellations within 30 days of the scheduled arrival date. If we are able to rebook the Brandon New Cottage for all or part of your reserved dates, we will refund you the rental amount received from the replacement guests, minus a $50 administration fee . If we are unable to book the home during the time you reserved, then your total payment will be forfeited.
    *All 'no shows' forfeit the entire amount of the reservation

My Family Loved Our Early September Stay

I would've scored the place higher but about a third of the dishes were dirty. I suspect it was because the dishwasher needs some "babying" to get it to work well. Perhaps this is a new and by now already fixed problem. I did alert Vilma of the issue.

Vilma, by-the-way, was a great hostess-- very attentive, friendly, helpful in every way.

Aside from the dishes the cottage was immaculate, nicely decorated, and well stocked.

We aim to go back and I'll recommend Union Pier and the Yellow Cottage to friends. Wonderful location.
