Aloha Visitors and welcome to our condo in paradise. Come and witness what we consider one of the most beautiful spots in the world in Waialua on the North Shore Oahu.
Swim, snorkel, and surf from this beautiful and private 2nd story condo located in beautiful Waialua. The condo location is a short 35 minute drive from Honolulu International Airport. Located minutes from the historic Waialua Sugar Mill and a short bike ride from the famous surf town of Haleiwa. Waialua is a quiet community with beautiful beaches for swimming, snorkeling, turtle and whale watching, and surfing backed by the Waianae mountain range and fronted by stunning Waialua Bay.
Haleiwa has every convenience of Waikiki but has a small enough population that we are not overcrowded. Lots of fun surf shops, kayak, surf board and bike rentals. Grocery stores and lots of unique restaurants.
The condo features two bedrooms, with two queen beds. The sofa in the living room is a euro lounger that is large enough for one more person to sleep on. We also have a futon in the closet for extra people or children or blow up mattress can also be requested. The condo has one bath with bath tub/shower combo and a fully furnished kitchen. Clean newly remodeled quaint kitchen. Ceramic tile through out the condo. It is located on the second story condo building with a small ocean view. There are two sets of stairs, no elevator. AC in the master bedroom. Fan through out the rest of the condo.
The condo is located across the street from the beach and steps from the beautiful public beach park, perfect for picnics with restroom and showers.
The beach across the street is a white sand beach used primarily by families in Waialua. This is not a crowded tourist beach but a relaxed, friendly gathering place for locals and visitors alike. The water is warm year-round and suitable for swimming and snorkeling by guests of any ability range.
The swimming area is protected by a reef and remains calm. A variety of colorful fish can be found close to shore and along the reef only 30-40 feet from the beach. Sea turtles frequent this beach and often swim in knee-deep water as they feed. We provide snorkeling sets for both adults and children.
The newly completed bike path stretches miles from Waialua to Haleiwa. While the small town of Waialua remains quiet in the evenings, Haleiwa provides plenty of excitement with superb shopping, dining, and even some nightlife.
This condo features everything you need to spend a few days relaxing in paradise. Worlds away from Waikiki; come and see the 'real' Hawaii including boogie boards and snorkeling equipment.
We understand that you cannot always leave the office home, that’s why we offer high speed internet access, fax, scan and telephone access to keep the office running smoothly. Please make sure to request. fax/scan capabilities. Minutes from world famous Sunset Beach, Waiamea Falls and Waiamea Bay.
Activities on the North Shore range from snorkeling with the sea turtles (steps away from our beach condo in Waialua) or surfing Pipeline, Hiking to the mountain tops, Golfing or viewing the breathtaking beauty of the North Shore. You can drive to Waikiki Beach in less than 35 minutes, with shopping opportunities along the way in Pearl Ridge Shopping Center, Aloha Stadium's Famous Swap Meet, and Ala Moana Center.

Mahalo (Thank You)!
Many Mahalo's...my family stayed in the condo in Dec of 2008. Setup very nice. Very clean!
Across from the beach, kids loved the beach park.
Veronica the owner was great and very helpful.
We will be back!
This was a perfectly adequate rental for our needs - a property in Waialua close to the beach. It is definitely a no frills kind of place but it was very clean. (Although the sofa/ futon could use a good cleaning or at least some major Febreeze and the pillows should be replaced.) We appreciated that there was snorkel gear, boogie boards, and inflated rafts for us to use. Check in/ out was easy and the condo is easily accessed with a lock box and an additional key inside to use while we were there - made it easy when our group was coming and going from the beach at different times. It is a second floor unit and from the sofa there was a nice view of the ocean. The only major negative that was very disconcerting was a very loud and violent sounding late night argument coming from a nearby unit; thankfully that only happened once during our stay.
This review is long overdue. My husband, daughter (at the time 1 year old) and I stayed here for about 2.5 months in 2014 (October-January) while my husband worked in the area. Veronica was amazing. She was very helpful and really bent over backward for us to make the place feel like home. My husband, who I consider a Hawaii snob as he's traveled to most of the islands growing up, loved the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The beach is just one block away, and there is a great park just a bit further down the road. I think it was my favorite family beach on the North Shore. On the other end of the street is a paved multiuse trail I would run on in the evenings. You can bike to Haleiwa but because the multiuse trail does not extend the whole way, and you have to cut though a rotary. It's a little risky if you're doing it with kids.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. At first I wasn't so sure, but we were quick to learn that this has it's own special community with lots of family friendly events. Halloween and New Year's eve in particular were fun times at the park and in the neighborhood.
The apartment is well laid out, so despite being small, there was plenty of room for us. It was clean. There was a good amount of closet space. We had to buy some cookware since we were eating at home most of the time. We didn't have any issues with ants, but there were some cockroaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night. That's just part of living in the tropics. As far as negatives, it does get hot in the apartment. Unfortunately, from the way the apartment is situated, you don't get any trade winds, so an air conditioner in the second bedroom would be nice. There isn't any real space to hang up laundry. And there's no lanai, which is would be really nice to have, BUT there is a small view of the beach from the couch!
Overall, I think this is a great budget friendly option. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
When you arrive and see the condo, you will think what is this? But they are renovating it and with a couple of months it will be repainted and as new :-)
Inside it was a nice condo everything clean (except the coffeemaker, forgotten for some time) Beds were very good. Was very hot when we arrived, but when you open the windows everywhere and use the fans it is nice and cool. Maybe you could provide an extra blanket during wintertimes. Nice beach, saw a turtle on the beach and many more in the water. Nice playgroud for little children in walking distance, my granddaughter loved it.
We spend 4 weeks here, would stay here again. Friendly people in the building.
Most have described the apartment well, it is older and could use some work but we weren't looking for a five star hotel for the price. It was clean, close to a beach and well outfitted with your everyday needs to enjoy your holiday. As many other places in the area, you'll find the tiny ants around the kitchen area being a nuisance and an occasional roach sighting but I'm assuming that comes with the age of the apartment and tropical conditions which I think can be expected.
That said, I will point out what I haven't found in other reviews. It's HOT! There is a small AC unit in one bedroom which is uncomfortably loud to sleep with but adequate to keep the bedroom cool. The second bedroom has a fan which helped a little but the rest of the apartment was unbelievably hot. There is a fan in the main sitting area and with the drapes closed and windows open there just isn't enough airflow to cool this apartment. Basically coming in from the outside you won't notice a big difference in ambient temperature and sitting or cooking in a room that's already 90F isn't pleasant. This was our biggest problem with the apartment and if the owner could do something to correct this issue we would stay here again.
(disclosure: we didn't contact the owner while staying in the apartment regarding the issue)
I would give it 4.5 stars. Great location! When I booked it, I did not realize that this building is at most 2 min walk away from the beach. It is also close to the Dole Plantation, Polynesian Culture Center and Waimea Valley.
The picture is exactly how the condo looks like, small but functional. When we (my husband, I , 4 and 8 yrs old girls) arrived, it was cleaned and well stocked. The kitchen is especially helpful. After dined out for several days during our stay in Waikiki, my girls were so happy with the home cooked mac&cheese. Pots, utensils and cups and plates are all provided, you just need to go Waialua Fresh (8 min's drive) to pick up some fresh produces and frozen meat, and come back to cook as you do at home.
Living room needs a darker/thicker drape, it gets warm after sun rise.
TV sets in living room and one bedroom. Beds are clean and firm. One bedroom has AC, that definitely help the sleep. Even in the room without AC, open window and a floor fan also brought 3 nights of good sleep.
I did come across a few roaches, but I guess that is inevitable in tropics, so I secure all my food in the fridge. BTW, Raid is provided.
Veronica, the owner is delightful and very easy to deal with.
We saw turtles swimming in the water literally where the extension of Apuhihi street meets the ocean. A local woman told us she saw sea horses by snorkeling a bit.
I recommend this condo to those who need a not-too-fancy yet comfortable place to stay during their visit to the North Shore.
When I read the review from "looks better than really is" I was thinking is this the same place? My fiance and I loved staying at this condo on the North Shore. It was clean, furnished with everything you could ever need, the beds were comfortable, and it was charming. It didnt have an air conditoner but its Hawaii, its perfect weather everyday. The beach was in walking distance and was beautiful. The owners are the nicest people and were so helpful on what its like to move to Hawaii and things to do. when we go back, we will definately be staying at this condo again!!
