Enjoy relaxing self-catering accommodation in Studio Madalena. The studio-apartments are air-conditioned, central heating, mini-bar, mosquito nets, etc. with fully equipped kitchen. All of them offer a superb view over the sea. During all the year we live there offering our hospitality and any help to our guests. Studio Madalena is the ideal vacation rental for relaxing holidays in the Pelion. There are quiet surroundings amongst the olive trees, panoramic view and fantastic sunset in the entire gulf and the Mt Pilion. It is 5 minutes walk from the village Afetes a small picturesque mountainous village of Mt Pilion with intense traditional colour. 1.5 km (20 minutes walking) from Afissos, which is a very lively village with taverns, super markets, tourist shops and beaches. There are lots of small fantastic beach creeks in the wild Aegean Sea, 10 km distance. Studio Madalena is a suitable starting point for someone to visit the whole peninsula of Mt Pilion. Car recommended.

Built 300 m above sea level, the village has the advantage of magnificent views of the coastal resort of Afissos with its long sand and shingle beach, and the Pagasitikos Gulf stretching far into the distance. Location: Afetes is located in the Eastern side of the Pagasitikos gulf on the slopes of Mt Pilion. Mt. Pelion, home of the Centaurs, has been renowned for its beauty since antiquity. Homer and his contemporary Hesiod have both praised its unique flora and medicinal plants in their works, describing Pelion as the “leafy” and “woody” mountain respectively. Today, the mountain is still densely forested and remarkably green, year round. It is a place to relax, a place to learn, a place to communicate with the environment. You will find here the authentic Greece. It is 5 minutes by foot away from the village Afetes. 1500m (20 minutes on foot) from Afissos which is a very lively village with taverns, super markets, tourist shops and beaches. 10 km distance to the wild Aegean Sea. Direct flight Gatwick to Volos – The Charterflight Centre or Thomsonfly

Excursions: A drive through the Pilion peninsula is indescribable. Near Volos there are the famous Neolithic places Sesklo and Dimini from 4000 B.C. Most of their excavated finds are in the museum of Volos. There is also a cute little train, which begins its trip from Ano Lechonia (18 km) and it climbs up the mountain of Pilion all the way to the historical village of Milies. One day trip with a little boat around the gulf or to the island of Skiathos. Also day trips to Delphi and the Meteora Monasteries by coach or car. For those who love walking-hiking there are a lot of marvellous trails.

A beautiful apartment in the middle of the Pelion

The studios are in a stunning location within easy reach of all the Pelion peninsula's many attractions. The accomodation is well designed, clean and comfortable and well equipped. Even if you did not go anywhere the studio would be a great place to hang out and recharge the batteries, especially with one of the best views you are ever likely to see.

A car would be needed to get the most out of the area, but the beautiful local village has plenty to offer and for those who walk alot; the pretty seaside resort with many restaurants would be worth the effort.

The hosts make you very welcome and help you to get the most out of your visit. The pets are kept separate from the studios but will also not hesitate to be welcoming as well!

really a home away from home

Being to this place and especially to this house was really a remarkable experience. It is not a studio but a very very comfortable apartment in the best place ever! It was really a home away from home and not just a rental with minimalistic,impersonal decorating. Very clean and new, warm and comfortable, with a very large balcony, very quiet, very very well equipped! It has an incredible view and a very beautiful garden, it is near the beach, but also near some agrotouristic places with traditional home made products. Plus, that there you can find biological olive oil of the highest quality (in the Madalena studios I mean...). Highly recommended!
We will be there again (soon I hope)!

Die Beschreibung der Lage in dem Inserat ist völlig zutreffend. Das Haus liegt ruhig in relativer Alleinlage inmitten von Olivenhainen. Das nächste Dorf ist zu Fuß bequem erreichbar. Der Küstenort Affissos mit Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Tavernen ist ebenfalls nicht weit entfernt. Das Apartement ist sehr gut ausgestattet und verfügt sowohl über Heizung als auch Klimaanlage. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und für zwei Personen sehr geräumig. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet einen sehr guten Ausgangspunkt für Touren über die Halbinsel Pilion. Die Vermieterin steht auf Wunsch mit Rat, Tat und ausgezeichneten Tipps zur Verfügung. Sie stellt den Gästen eine sehr hilfreiche Infomappe mit zum Teil selbst erstellten Ortsplänen, Straßen- und Wanderkarten und Restaurantempfehlungen zur Verfügung. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die Ruhe und Erholung ohne touristischen Trubel suchen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der traumhafte Blick von der Terasse auf den Pagasitischen Golf.

Alles war genau so wie im Online-Inserat beschrieben !!
Das Studio war sauber, gepflegt und zum Wohlfühlen eingerichtet.Vor allem die Fliegengitter an allen Fenstern
finden wir prima. Wir fühlten uns von unserer Vermieterin
Madalena und ihrer Familie sehr gut und liebevoll betreut. Sie hatte viele gute und nützliche Tips was Essen gehen,
Unternehmungen, Strände usw. betrifft.
Die schöne Terasse mit dem tollen Ausblick auf Olivenhaine, den Golf von Volos, das Vogelgezwitscher
und die immer wieder anderen Farbenspiele des Meeres
konnten wir geniesen. In der Vorsaison fanden wir schöne
leere Badebuchten, das Meer war sauber. Die vielfältige
Landschaft des Pilion, von üppigem grün, Laubwäldern,
bis zu ganz karger Gegend hat und sehr gefallen.
Die Studios Madalena können wir all denen empfehlen
die Ruhe und Entspannung in schöner Natur suchen
und sich auch an einem lieben Hund und 5 Katzen in ihrer
Umgebung erfreuen können.
