Shangri-La Mountain Lodge is a breath-taking custom log home that is over 3100 square feet. The home is only 12 miles from Colorado’s world-class Breckenridge ski resort. Copper Mountain, Keystone, and A-Basin are also less than 30 minutes away. Access to the main highway (Highway 9) is less than 5 minutes so there are no long drives on dirt roads to get to all of the fun activities in the area.
Built with full-sized premium logs, this is a classic, like you see in the log home magazines. The vaulted ceiling is 24’ high and is made from tongue and groove pine. The two-story windows offer the best views of the snow-covered mountain ranges and valleys. The custom hickory wood floors and cabinetry are throughout the main level of the house. There are two large seating areas in the living room with a two-story stone fireplace to sit by and watch the beautiful snow fall. The custom kitchen has state of the art stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets and flooring with everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. The view from the window will make cooking a delight. The dining area has a large table that seats 8-10 people.
There is a bedroom on the main level with a queen-size bed and its own private bath. There are double French doors that open onto the main deck and covered balcony which offers views of the mountain ranges and Placer Valley. The bathroom has its own shower and also a washer and dryer. There is a study outside of this bedroom with another set of French doors opening onto the main deck as well.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms. The spacious Master Suite has its own gas stove, panoramic views from every window, a private balcony, and a spacious master bath with a large jetted tub.
The third bedroom also has gorgeous views and a queen-size bed. The custom linens and furniture make it a lovely place for another couple or your children to stay.

The downstairs area is very unique. There is a very large recreation room with a full-size custom wood bar. The kids (and adults) will enjoy the ping-pong table with its own “score-keeping” net. There is a dart board and another bath in the recreation room as well. The gas stove in the corner adds to the cozy atmosphere. There is no shortage of views in this room either. Another set of double doors leads out to the lower patio where there is a full size porch with its own custom ski-lift swings. You will feel like you are just coming down from the mountains after a long day of skiing. They are fabulous for sitting, relaxing or just enjoying the views of the mountains and surrounding forest.
The lucky renters that stay here will appreciate the heated two-car garage that they can drive right into to escape any snow blizzards that might happen by. The roads are county maintained all winter and the driveway is maintained after each snowfall. Four-wheel drive is a must for this area though as we do get some heavy snowfalls.
You will be surrounded by outdoor and indoor activities. Whether your passion is skiing, shopping, hunting, ice-fishing, or horseback riding, you will find the best of the best within minutes of the home. There are two lakes within 5-10 minutes of the home as well as old mines, hiking trails, snowshoeing, and 4-wheel trails. Montgomery Lake and Lincoln Falls are within one mile of he home. One of the best ice-climbing areas in Colorado is right by Montgomery Lake. We will be happy to arrange sleigh rides, winter horseback riding, skiing, or ice fishing.
