Day trips in the surroundings:
You can follow the Lighthouse Route with numerous lighthouses, countless white sand beaches and the romantic fishing villages nestled along the shores. At the town of Lunenburg you should visit the Fisheries Museum and the famous Bluenose II, sailing replica of the Bluenose. A sightseeing tour to Annapolis Valley with as stroll through Wolfville with its famous Acadian University and to stay on top of 'Look Off' with a stunning view over Minas Basin. The Bay of Fundy (highest tides of the world, 53 feet) where you can discover methysts, dinosaur fossils, whales and ancient forests on craggy shores carved by colossal fundy tides. Brier Island is a unique spot close to the whales (Humback, Fin whale, etc.) and seabirds. Magnificent cliffs and columnar basalt rocks, with its seals colony all make spectacular viewing.
