Flanked by lush vineyards and shady Sycamore trees, our two story farmhouse is a step back to the 1930’s with modern updates. The 4 bedroom, 2 bath home features a vintage clawfoot tub in one bathroom and beautiful hardwood floors throughout the home. Cozy up in the reading room for privacy, or join the others around the stone fireplace in the living room. The dining area comfortably seats 8, and the kitchen features a breakfast nook for 4. The 'Man Cave' features a 50' flat screen TV and cable TV with comfortable seating for the family. A large patio overlooks the vineyard, and features a charcoal grill and a fire pit to gather around in the evenings.
I grew up in a very handy family! My father was blessed with 4 girls before he had my brother, and we were taught to run wood lathes, etc in his workshop. This fueled my desire later in life to renovate properties and share them with others who are interested in seeing what our beautiful Ashtabula County has to offer!
Stacey Laurello purchased this house in 1991
This home was a full time, year around rental. Once the family moved, it was in need of renovation, and it was a natural fit for a vacation rental.
The beautiful vineyards surrounding the property. The property is located on a working farm, with 48 acres of Vinis Lambrusco (Concord grapes). Beautiful patio and fire pit overlooking the vineyards.
This is my 5th time staying at this house and I love it. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is always a shortage on toilet paper. I think for 300.00 a night toliet paper should be plentiful. I have had to purchase and/or bring my own. Everything else is perfect....Oh, there was a slight musty smell in the man cave...maybe some air freshner or something to make it smell fresh.
See ya next June.....Tamie Scott
It was excellent! Very relaxing & very clean. Well stocked kitchen. One of nicest places we have vacationed. Man Cave was very nice & cool.
We had an amazing time with friends. Went to many wineries and tried the bourbon distillery. EVERYONE enjoyed themselves. We also had fire in the pit outside 2 nights in a row.
We really enjoyed this home and location for the National Association of Women's Water Polo Championship Tournament at the Spire Institute. Nice home to relax and the winery next door was a real bonus!
We just had a wonderful Christmas family reunion in this charming home! We came from the Cleveland area, VA Beach, Des Moines, IA, Pittsburgh and Seattle. It is even better than the pictures depict. Super clean and comfortable. Decorated beautifully! Stacey was super helpful. We all agree that it was the best Christmas ever! Laurello's is terrific and the staff was amazing. Hope to stay there again...I wish I lived there!!
There were 9 of us staying in this home over Thanksgiving. It was extremely kid-friendly with plenty of space. We loved keeping a fire going in the living room. It has an extra-long dining table that seats 10, and an extra 4-person breakfast table. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was pretty well stocked for utensils and pans. The best part as far as my kids are concerned is that we could bring our dog along. The house was clean and a nice place to stay. Scribblers is a wonderful cafe nearby in Geneva for a nice little morning get-away for a cup of coffee and a scone.
