Close to Galveston yet tucked away from the city, our beaches are less crowded and more relaxing. Near Freeport and Surfside Beach, Tuck's Retreat is the ideal family vacation, a gorgeous ocean front retreat near 32 miles of beaches ideal for Winter Texans, honeymooners, romantic escapes, family vacations & holidays or long weekends. We are conveniently located at the foot of the San Luis Pass bridge for easy and close access to historic Galveston. Tuck's Retreat beach house features an exceptional panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico, and is fully furnished and equipped with new appliances and amenities, including a front loading washer & dryer to make you feel right at home. Our house has three bedrooms that will sleep 8 guests comfortably. There are two full bathrooms. We provide a spacious fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with all the conveniences of home, including cookbooks, microwave, crockpot, and blender. Our large living and dining room have a spectacular unobstructed view of The Gulf of Mexico, and vaulted ceilings. 40 inch big screen t.v., Satellite, DVD and broadband internet are handy for rainy days. A wall of windows overlooking the beautiful ocean creates a light and bright atmosphere. A front loading washer & dryer, iron & ironing board provide all the comforts of home. Watch the waves roll in and view the gorgeous sunrises and amazing sunsets from our private large deck.

Great house - nicely decorated and very clean with amazing views, and directly on the water. It was close enough to Galveston to enjoy the activities, but far enough away that it was peaceful and wasn't crowded. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay here :) The house is really nice. Lots of space and room. My 4 yr old enjoyed driving his cars around the spaces livingroom. The deck was nice to eat on at nite and we where able to enjoy a full moon one nite. Theres a little beach area right next to the house. And when the tides low you can get around the rocks and get to lots of beach. Or if u just wanna walk a little ways down the road past the neighbors house, you can get the beach area right next to the house. We also found theres a parking lots you can drive to and lots more beach a few blocks away from the house.

OUR STAY AT TUCKS RETREAT WAS GREAT. THE HOUSE WAS CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE KITCHEN WAS WELL STOCKED, JUST AS DESCRIBED. IT WAS A QUITE LOCATION AND THE NEIGHBORS WERE SO NICE! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE. THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL VACATION!
