Our father skied at Vail on opening day, so Vail has always held a special place in our hearts. Our first family place was a condo at the Vail Racquet Club. Our family loves sports and the Vail Racquet Club provided plenty of activities to fill our days beyond skiing, such as tennis, swimming, hot tubs, exercise classes, and more. As the family got older and grew larger we needed a bigger home. We loved East Vail so the next step was to simply move across the street from the Vail Racquet Club to the Mountain Meadows townhouse complex. Our current home fits our large family and has the bonus of having an attached garage to park not only the car but skis, bikes, snowshoes, etc.
We love the quiet, mostly residential area of East Vail. Just a block away from Big Horn Park, located on the free town bus route, across the street from an athletic club and restaurant, and only a 10 minute drive from the village (or approximately a 20 minute bike ride.)
In the winter, in addition to offering some of the best downhill skiing in the world, there are lots of cross country and snowshoe trails. In the summer there is horseback riding, river rafting, biking, golfing, hiking, fishing, tennis, and swimming. Throughout the year Vail offers several music and arts events.
