These are more than vacation houses: Winter dream consists of 3 villas that have been built in block house style between 2000 and 2003. Aesthetics and comfort have been combined with discrete luxury, a broad service system, attractive excursions, wonderful nature and lots of silence. The “winter dream” concept has been often presented in the media recently and it is described as the ultimate accommodation in Scandinavia. The extraordinary is the combination between the freedom offered by a vacation house and the hotel-like service (if required). The American “Hideaway” philosophy has been interpreted in an European way. An ideal spot to experience the special and find quietness.

Arrival: You can go via Helsinki by Finnair to Kittilä (alternative airport Rovaniemi, approx. 200 km away), and by renting car or shuttle, approx. 50 km from the airport to the Winter dream houses. In summer you go by ferry from Travemünde or Rostock to Helsinki. Further on, you can take the motorail train to Kolari or Rovaniemi. By the overland route, you can go via Denmark - Sweden (from Hamburg approx. 2.500 km).

Winter dream 1 is the “prime example” of the other 3 “winter dream” houses. The house is furnished in high quality to the smallest detail. The kitchen is equipped with “Miele” devices that will make cooking a pleasure. For music lovers, there is a B & O stereo system. For TV and movie lovers, there is a satellite TV set and a DVD player with a big film collection from Ben Hur to Harry Potter. The decoration consists of designer furniture, combined with aesthetic Finnish solid wood furniture. The heating is managed by a thermostat heating system. The designer soapstone fireplace creates a special atmosphere. There is a large sauna with an adjacent relaxation room (there you find a further fireplace). It is ideal for reading, watching TV, dreaming.

Western Lapland is a magic low mountain range landscape - many of our guests are reminded of Canada. The Natural Park Pallastunturi, which is an ideal region for hiking and cross country skiing, is approx. 25 km from the blockhouse villa. Both in summer and in winter there are many possibilities for leisure activities: Trips with the dog and reindeer sleds and the snowmobile. 4 alpine skiing regions are 20 - 30 minute drive away. The nearest airport is in Kittilä, about 50 km away.

Ski: This is a cross country skiing paradise (approx. 120 km of well kept cross country ski runs), with snow until the beginning of May. The illuminated cross country ski runs in Olos (approx. 15 minutes by car) and Jeris (approx. 10 minutes by car) are especially beautiful. Directly in front of the “winter dream” houses, there is a private cross country ski run of approx. 12 km (suitable weather provided - use not possible if it is too windy).

Cross country skiing equipment is available. Levi- Finland’s largest ski region is only a 30 minute drive away (over 20 slopes, from blue to black, i.e. all levels of proficiency). Levi corresponds to the standards of many ski resorts in the Alps. More comfortable, but still with numerous ski slopes is Ylläas (30 minutes away). The most quiet ski resorts are Olos (approx. 15 minutes away) with 3 ski lifts and Pallas (in the middle of the national park), with 2 lifts (approx. 20 minutes away). Alpine equipments can be rented in any ski region.

Rental Rates for this vacation villa rental in Lapland, Finland

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

The conditions from November, 13th until April, 4th are valid for 2 people and include the basic package. Included are the welcome dinner, a food package, 2 guided half day trips, lunch by the open fire (dog sled and snowmobile trips), complete cross country skiing equipment and polar clothing, all the additional costs and final cleaning, concierge service by the Finish advisors. Services in the summer: extensive instructions, Canadian canoes, towels and linen, unlimited sauna usage, final cleaning and all the electricity costs.
The prices are calculated for 2 persons. Extra costs during winter for the 3rd up to the 8th person (including all tours and services): Low season 1 (20 Nov until 18 Dec) 765.- € per person; High season 1 (18 Dec until 08 Jan) 995 € per person; Low season 2 (08 Jan until 05 Feb) 865.- € per person; High season 2 (05 Feb until 16 April) 935.- € per person; Low season 3 (16 April until 30 April) 765.- € per person; Extra costs for additional guests during summer: Pre-season (01 May - 29 May) for the 3rd to the 8th guest 110 € each; Low season 1 (29 May - 26 Jun)for the 3rd to the 8th guest 135.- € each; High season 1 (26 Jun - 07 Aug.) for the 3rd to the 8th guest 145.- € each; High season 2 (07 Aug - 18 Sept) for the 3rd to the 8th guest 145.- € each; Low season 2 (18 Sept - 20 Nov) for the 3rd to the 8th guest 120.- € each.

Notes:	In the winter, the guests will be greeted with a welcome dinner. They also receive a food package. Further dinners can be booked. Included in the price are 3 tours (husky sleds, reindeer sleds and snowmobile). At this, a lunch by the open fireplace will be served. The furnishing and equipment are up to high standards (designer furniture, B & O stereo system, kitchen with Miele devices, Saeco espresso machine, DVD-player with big, top quality film collection). In the master bathroom there is a jacuzzi for 2 people. We also put a polar and a cross country skiing equipment at your disposal. The houses are managed by a Finnish couple, who speak German and English, and there are other co-workers as well. You can have hotel-standard service, on request and for a certain price.
