We have 2 great apartments. We have an amazing deck with an incredible skyline view of Chicago (closed in winter when there is snow and ice) and a fantastic huge hot tub. They are both great place to relax after a day of travel, sightseeing, or business.
We are experienced owners who have been offering our rentals for 7 years now. We have over 200 reviews at the different sites that we list at, and we are proud to say that they are all 4 or 5 stars. You will be very comfortable and feel at home in our rentals.
We also have a huge 5 feet x 3.5 feet shower that features Grohe body sprays and a steambath generator. Our guests say that it is like a massage.
We are offering discounts for our available dates in March and April. The best rates are for 4 night or longer rentals. Please email or call with the dates that you are interested in.
This site's quotable rates are often wrong. We set our rates the best we can, but our per night rates are lower for longer rentals and our rates vary depending on special events such as trade shows. Depending on the season, the nightly rate shown is either our lowest rate or an average rate (4-5 nights). Our last minute. special rates also have deep discounts on extra nights and this site's rate system can't do any of those things. Shorter rentals of 3 or 4 nights are going to be priced higher than what this site quotes you.
Summer rates are more accurate as discounted rates are less likely then except at the last minute. Our rates vary from $120 to $260 per night and $875 to $1,675 per week and include all taxes and fees. Our lowest rates are in winter. Rates depend on the timing and length of your stay. There is no one rate. Longer rentals have the best per night rates.
If this apartment is booked, or if you have a larger group, we have a second apartment in this building that may be available. If you rent both apartments, you will be renting the entire building.
Below is the ad for our first floor apartment .

Our rentals are located just South of Downtown Chicago in the quiet and safe neighborhood of Bridgeport. It is a 10-15 minute drive or cab ride or it's a quick train ride to all of our great attractions on our great public transportation system. Ours is one of the safest neighborhoods in Chicago. 5 of our last 8 Mayors spanning 90 years came from our small neighborhood
More facts about Our Rentals: Our daily newspaper, the Chicago Sun Times recently reported that our neighborhood was voted the best place to trick or treat based on the safety and the family atmosphere of our area. This is what they had to say.
The best neighborhood for trick-or-treating in Chicago? Bridgeport, says a real estate web site that says it factored in where a kid's likely to get 'the most candy, with the least walking and minimal safety risks.'
Bridgeport gets props from Zillow dot com as 'really a family neighborhood.
Our proximity to downtown, McCormick Place , and I.I.T, has made ours a very hot residential destination for the last 10 years. One of our neighbors 5 or 6 houses away recently built a $2.5 million house and next door is a huge house with an indoor swimming pool in it's own addition that is listed for 1.7 million. New construction and completely renovated buildings like ours are the norm. Ours is a very quiet and peaceful block.
You can view a map of our location at Google Maps by typing in the following information.
529 W. 37th Street, Chicago IL 60609 When the map loads, you can click “get directions” to enter an address or “search nearby” to search for attractions.
The map is at street level, so please zoom it out a level or two and scroll north to see where we are at relative to downtown and McCormick Place. If you're coming for a show at McCormick, please let us know and we'll send information on getting there.
Baseball fans will love that we are a 5 minute walk to U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. For Cub Fans, the train runs directly between both ballparks.
We include one garage parking space with your rental. Street parking in our area is also very easy. Street parking can be tight when the White Sox are playing as we are close to the ball park, but even then, parking is easier than most areas of our city.
Our apartments are available for lodging only. We do not rent our apartments for parties or gatherings of any kind. The guest renting the apartment needs to be 30 years of age. Occasionally we will make slight exceptions on the age limit for responsible adults who are not coming here to party. Our guests appreciate that we have a quiet and peaceful environment We also don't rent to groups of students of any age regardless of whether they are chaperoned by an adult. .
The maximum capacity of the apartment is 6 people in 3 queen beds (and an air bed that can be set up for one extra sleeping space). We will sometimes make slight adjustments on these limits with prior approval.
AN IMPORTANT NEW DEVELOPMENT CONCERNING VACATION RENTALS IN CHICAGO.
The City of Chicago has a new ordinance that regulates vacation rentals.
We are a legal vacation rental and our license number is 2074660.
Enforcement of this Ordinance has begun. Unlicensed properties can be shut down by the city and/or their condo association at any time. For these and other reasons, we recommend that you book your rental with a licensed Vacation Rental Owner.
Our cancellation policy is a $100 cancellation fee if 45 days or more from arrival, and a $250 fee from 45 to 30 days from arrival, Cancellation less than 30 days from arrival are non refundable unless we can re-rent the dates to someone else. Then we would refund whatever we get for as many of those dates as we can rent at last minute rates, minus the applicable cancellation fee.
We are two lifelong friends who bought this building to live in, remodeled it completely for ourselves, and later converted it to a vacation rental.

Our area is safe and very close to everything in Chicago, including our convention center, McCormick Place. You are in a quiet and safe neighborhood, but the city center and all of our major attractions are very close. It's the best of both worlds.
You will love our deck with the amazing view of the Chicago city skyline, our hot tub, and our huge steam bath shower with multiple Grohe Body Sprays. It is like a massage.
We are ½ mile from the I-94 Dan Ryan Expressway. It is a 5 minute drive to Lake Shore Drive and another 10-15 minutes from there to the Museums, Navy Pier, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue shopping and every major attraction in this city.
When we lived in this building ourselves, we would always be able to get to the lakefront and all of our major attractions in 10 to 20 minutes. If there is a concert, or major festival on the lakefront. we can show you a local shortcut to make great travel time to our city center.
Ours is a quiet, safe, and friendly family neighborhood. It’s not real trendy, but you can save a fortune on casual dining or drink prices if you want to eat locally some of the time during you visit. You can park easily too and we include garage parking with your rental. If you want to visit our 5 star restaurants or nightclubs, they are a quick 10-20 minute drive or cab ride away.
Although this is one of our newer ads that began in 2011, we have been operating our rentals since October 2007.

This place is definitely a great bargain and well worth the money. I can say it is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. It is very big with all the extras you can imagine: big comfy beds, spa shower (like a massage), Internet, laundry, and more. It is a home, not just an empty rental. It is also VERY well stocked with necessities. It is in a safe neighborhood very close to public transportation. One of the biggest perks is the truly kind and helpful owner, who always answers his phone and helps you with anything you need. I'd stay for his helpfulness alone. I really recommend this place!!!
This rental was the best VRBO experience I have had. Clean, stocked with all the necessities, good communications by owners, nice neighborhood, fair price. I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Very clean and organized. Beds were so comfortable, slept well! Shower is awesome, and can't go wrong with the large hot tub, just know that it is shared with the unit downstairs. The skyline view is very nice, the upper deck is wonderful. We were worried about the neighborhood, but we felt safe. Parking was so easy, even with the ball games all weekend. Having a garage was great, too! Overall, very lovely condo!
We rented out the top apartment recently and were very pleased with everything! The location was awesome right by 35th/Sox stop on the red line and South Halsted Street was about 3 blocks away for the buses. The place had everything you needed a full kitchen with all the pots, pans, cups, utensils...etc etc. The roof top deck was great along with the fantastic indoor hot tub(make sure you crack the windows open in there it gets steamy!). The bathroom was fun also, HUGE shower and steam bath! We had 6 of us staying in the place and plenty of room for all of us. It is very nice that they have an extra half bath in the basement to use also. We didn't have a car but if you do they have a garage where you can park one car per unit. When we arrived the apartment was nice and clean and fully stocked. Kathy's Deli is right around the corner and Schaller's Pump is right up the street...great food at both spots!!! The owners of this building are wonderful and so nice! We all would love to come back and stay here again!!!!
My husband and I met "halfway" - me from Alaska and he from England - for a long weekend in Chicago. We absolutely loved staying in this apartment. The hot tub is great, the rooftop deck is great, and steam shower amazing. Situated about ten minutes S of the South Loop area, 5 minute walk from White Sox stadium and less than an hour by train from the airport. My only complaint would be I wish there were some restaurants closer, but you're so close to the bus stop and train station that we were able to get anywhere easily. We utilized the BBQ and full kitchen to make dinner and breakfast every day. Overall, definitely recommended. We had a great stay.
This apartment (upstairs) was perfect for our business trip. We were only a short drive to McCormick Place where we had a conference, and we were not far from other interesting spots in Chicago: Chinatown is just north, and the sights of downtown Chicago are a short five-to-ten minute drive. There are several lovely pubs in the neighborhood, and we felt safe walking to them. We went to Cork and Kerry at the Park, Shinnick's pub (which boasts the original old bar) and Schaller's Pump, a pub/restaurant from the 1800s and the friendliest staff around.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The shower was awesome!! We didn't use the hot tub, but we did go on the roof and the view was spectacular (although a bit cold in October). The stairs are pretty steep but there is a downstairs apartment run by the same person for anyone with accessibility needs. Bob was very friendly and helpful, and the apartment has a book with tons of information on the area and transportation. We had a car and parked on the street; there was always parking available and it seemed pretty secure. If you are looking to stay in Chicago for fun or especially for any thing at McCormick Place, this is a great choice!
We stayed at Bob's place for four nights in August 2013. Everything was as described, and Bob was incredibly helpful and thorough -- he even has a Youtube video orientation to the apartment. We enjoyed the hot tub and the large TV. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was very nice to walk around and we enjoyed meals at a couple of the local restaurants that Bob recommended. We were able to easily drive to downtown Chicago. We didn't try taking public transportation from the neighborhood as the L was under construction at the time.
