This fabulous resort area is about an hour's drive from the San Juan airport. There are lots of units in the complex of Palmas Del Mar. Front gate staff was able to point me in the right direction of where I thought I was staying, but there were issues with getting the keys from the gatekeeper for the unit which is Beach Villages.
Owner should take time to provide driving instructions from airport, as the google/mapquest instructions call the roads the official names which are NOT the names on the PR highway signs. Glad that I asked the rental car agent who wrote down the instructions with local names. Get the "toll pass" for the rental car! It will save you $$$ , on my first day, I would have had $15.00 in tolls rather than the $ 3.00 a day toll pass.
The unit was clean, golf course view out the patio, a wonderful pool right across the street, and the beach at the end of the building.
We had an issue with the AC in the master bedroom but there were only two of us, so we didn't use the room during our stay. The owner did send an email back quickly after I sent one about the AC. Told me to check the electric panel, all breakers were on. So, we said the we were good not to use the room rather than have him send an electrician. IT would have been a problem if we had had more people.
Stop at the Walmart for stuff, it is on HWY 53 about two stops before HWY 906. There is not a lot of places to shop or restaurants outside the complex of Palmas Del Mar. IF you like chain restaurants, go to the area by the Walmart.
