We Were Sorry We Only Had a Week!
Impeccable. That's the one word that comes to mind when we think of this beautifully decorated and practical rental property. My husband and I spent a July week at Gary and Lori's rental while we explored Dunedin, Florida.
The pièce de résistance is the huge and stunning back patio and pool area that rests in the tropical feel of old Florida. We discovered that Gary is a landscape architect and interior designer who has brought the full strength of his talents to this property; the pictures are true to the feel, both interior and exterior. The tropical jungle feel is apparent from every vantage point in the home and is laced with outdoor water fountains.
The property, which is divided into two side-by-side, good-size rental units, is tastefully designed and is a perfect landing spot for two. Our side was comfortably furnished with a generous living room/dining room, well equipped kitchen and a bedroom (comfy queen bed) that has a desk and sitting area. Wi-fi and cable are part of the package.
Additionally, Gary and Lori are thoughtful hosts/landlords. They spent time giving us enthusiastic insight and suggestions to navigating the area and visiting the sites. (You could jokingly say that Lori sounds like she's with the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce - and she is!) And although they live (seasonally) in the house's other duplex, we saw very little of them and always were able to maintain our privacy even when in the pool area - a credit to Gary's optimal use of plantings about the property.
Summer is quite lovely in this part of Florida especially when you have the outdoor heat alternating with the comfortable 'set-to-your-desired temperature' air-conditioned rental space. We highly recommend this property and, if the opportunity presents itself, we will stay again.
