One month at Los Diamantes (Rental 271754)

My husband and I arrived at this home at 1:00 am after a late flight to Tucson. We were absolutely delighted from the moment we drove into the driveway. All the exterior lights were on and the keys were easily located and we were tired and glad to be at our destination. When we saw the home we were so pleased, even though the photos on the web site were very good, they still can't convey the real atmosphere of the home. The home was lovely, the southwestern decor a treat for folks from Ohio, and everything perfectly decorated. Room sizes were generous (difficult to tell from photos) and were sparkling clean. The next morning when we looked around a bit more thoroughly we found everything you could possibly need was in the home. The kitchen had every utensil and piece of equipment you could possibly desire, and some above and beyond common needs. The dishware was as artistic as the rest of the home and great fun to use. Linen was high quality sheets and towels, perfectly color coordinated with the decor. The beds were very comfortable, with layers of covers for persons with varying sleep temperature needs.The showers were large and beautifully tiled and there was plenty of hot water and great water pressure.
The art work in the home was delightful and well displayed, but never in the way where we felt in danger of breaking anything. However, if we had had children with us I might have moved some of it to a safe closet.
We loved the simple landscaping of the back patio area and spent much time sitting out and reading with that stunning landscape of mountains in front of us. The home location was very quiet (we saw the neighbor twice for a few minutes) with little activity in the area. Sitting outside was private and peaceful. The walking paths throughout the neighborhood are great fun to stroll between the cactus and check the wildlife. We saw rabbits, Javalina, roadrunners, quail, and a magnificent eagle perched on a tall evergreen tree. The birds are great, cactus wrens with their lovely song were around all the time, and hummingbirds were frequent visitors to the yard. We also made many trips to the pool, just two blocks away, and spent many evenings in the hot tub at the pool visiting with new friends.
We were so charmed with Green Valley, especially this neighborhood, that we purchased a home a couple of streets over so we may return every year.
