This is a very nice, clean apartment, in a good location for subway and restaurants. There is a small but well equipped kitchen as indicated in the listing description. There were two lights out in the bedroom near the closets and one light out in the kitchen near the microwave. Everything else was in good working order. We did not meet the owner/manager but there was an information packet, maps, take out menus, and other information about the area available, This is a good place for a couple to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Extremely comfortable, clean and convenient. Beds are very comfortable and there is laundry in the house. The owner is very helpful and kind. Highly recommended.
David was a great guy. We rented this apt after Hurricane Sandy for i think it was 5 nights..... 3 adults and 2 dogs... we were so overwhelmed with cleaning out our destroyed house... it was a pleasure to come back here in the evenings, take a hot shower, and prepare dinner... wish we could have stayed longer !!
We felt very comfortable in the apartment and it is so much better than staying at a hotel in hectic Manhattan. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the apartment was perfect for us. The apartment has all amenities that you need and everything functions well. The fridge is even big enough for a family and it's nice (sometimes also less complicated and surely less expensive) to be able to cook own meals when you are on vacation so you don't always have to eat in the restaurants. A lot of grocery stoors are within walking distance, organic seems to be very trendy and expensive in this neighborhood. The owner lives in the same house and is really nice and helpful! I would definately want to stay here again!
My husband & I stayed here only 2 nts. Our daughter was filming a movie shoot in Brooklyn and this apt was in good proximity. We use VRBO & Home Away frequently and loved this apt. vs. a hotel room. I was so pleased with our choice & we were lucky this was available during such busy period. We would recommend. The apt. seemed to have been treated respectfully given the wear & tear renters can put on someone else's property. The apt. was clean; the storage shelves in kitchen & clothes closet (with drawers, hanging space & plenty of hangers) was plentiful. Wood & tile flooring vs rugs is a plus. Area is safe, many young families & neighbors friendly. Found parking within the block after only couple times around (minimal hassle by city standards). We parked & walked everywhere. Keep eye on the parking signs for days or hours vehs have to be moved. Wifi was good. Owners information booklet thorough & helpful. Neighborhood residents recommended a great deli where we could get our fix of Pastrami sandwiches and Italian pastries (The Bagel Market, on 7th Ave). And since we grew up with really great Italian food, we were so happy with 2 restaurants we chose &; prices were all very reasonable also. There is a wide variety of really good restaurants & specialty food stores. Thank you, David.
The listing was exactly as described. David was available at every step of the way. He was there for our arrival and gave us instructions and even tips on where to eat! The place was close to subway and local coffee shop.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. I loved that we were able to use the washer/dryer. Very helpful.
The car service that David recommends was so awesome! Helped us get to/from all the fun places we wanted to get to. Must check out Vinegar Hill House! Best local fresh food in Brooklyn!
