Don architect and builder designed and built our home. The views and privacy are wonderful. The proximity to Camden, Belfast and Bar Harbor are convenient. It is a quick walk to Saturday Cove.
The Pine Lodge was as advertised, and photos do not do it justice. There were 25 of us: 8 families, ages 4 to 76 years. Even if confined to the Lodge for the week, no one would be bored, what with the huge game room, closet of games, heated pool, hot tub, baby grand piano, huge flat screen TV (so busy we watched only 2 World Cup Games). Enough room for anyone to find a quiet nook if needed. Phenomenal view of Saturday Cove, especially over an a.m. cup of coffee on the deck off the kitchen (alternatively, a glass of wine in the same spot early evening).
The Lodge was beautifully maintained and clean as a whistle, with Terra, Don and family readily available if needed.
The kitchen was fabulous... huge commercial refrigerator, Wolf gas stove, lots of counter space, dining room to seat 20 and large round kitchen table "for the kids." I'm rambling, but only because we had such a wonderful experience here!Add enormous fire pit (great for making S'mores!) to sit watching the more fit and younger of us play volleyball until dark.....
Activities enjoyed, in no particular order: families taking turns cooking meals, board games, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, Cellardoor Winery tour and tasting, discovering Belfast (Chocolate Drop doe ice cream and candy; used book store around the corner) and Camden (coffee at Zola, harbor cruise, dinner at Cappy's Chowder House, Russell's of Camden handmade jewelry).. we did it all and loved every minute.
Perhaps the highlight of our stay was the Lobster Bake, also provided by Terra, Don, and family... so much more than we expected (a few fun lawn games at the beginning) and a beautifully choreographed meal. We will never forget it!
We highly recommend The Pine Lodge or family reunions, weddings, any large gathering. You won't be disappointed!
A truly one of a kind, hidden treasure along the coast of Maine! The house and grounds made for a special experience for our family and friends and our sons' wedding. The house comfortably slept 38 people, and we had almost every bed full the entire 4-day weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. The gas Wolf range, and extra large fridge and freezer were plenty big to store everything we needed to feed a large crowd for several days. The fridge leaked, and Terra's husband came over quickly to remediate the problem very quickly. The tent for the reception was plenty big enough for our wedding guests...(approximately 50 people.) Terra's children had made hand-made signs to put out around the entrance and tent. The hot tub was enjoyed by the younger guests, and I can imagine the pool would be great in the summer months. The Lodge is full of interesting and unique art that we all loved looking at. The piano, and game room kept everyone entertained. There was LOTS of seating on the side porch and back yard deck. The out door fire pit was well stocked with wood for a fire, and when it was NOT raining, we all enjoyed being out side. There are so many nooks and crannies, there were plenty of places for folks to sit and talk.
My one suggestion would be to add a map of Maine...maybe on the wall above the kitchen table. Most of us were from out of state and were not really sure where we were! I would highly recommend this beautiful, unique home for small weddings, family reunions or corporate meetings. Thanks again for sharing this beautiful home, I hope we will be able to rent it again some time.

As stated in a previous review, the photos do not do this home justice. I booked this home for a corporate retreat where 20 of our employees planned to have meetings, open discussions and break off sessions. The open living room was the perfect location for this, and the floor to ceiling windows on the east wall set a beautiful backdrop to our "stuck-inside" day. The house was able to easily sleep 20 people in their own beds (being a corporate retreat, no beds can be shared!) with plenty of places left to sleep.
The huge kitchen helped tremendously in cooking for 20 people (at some points, 20 people were in the kitchen helping cook!) and the 18 person table was able to accommodate us all.
Terra and Don were fantastic throughout our booking process, offering recommendations, and answering any questions I had. I hope that we can return in the summer to fully take advantage of all that Pine Lodge has to offer!
Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!
This is the most special of houses. As others have remarked previously, the pictures of the house online do not do the house justice, and the pictures look pretty good ! The house was easily able to cope with 16 of us and it was often the case that there were 5 different activities going on in different parts of the house at the same time, without anyone getting in the way of anyone else. The kitchen is well laid-out and easy to cook in, and there are ample pots, pans, crockery, cutlery etc. The games room with table tennis, pool and skittles was great, as was the pool. We had a couple of BBQs and lit a fire in the pit almost every night. The view from the front of the house, overlooking the bay is stunning, and the overall position, nestled in the woods is great. Terra and Don did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, and I would certainly recommend the house to anyone that is looking for a large house to have a vacation - you are unlikely to find many places as good as this !
We took a large group of distance runners to Pine Lodge for a retreat/preseason training. Terra, Don, and the whole family were wonderful and very accommodating! Pine Lodge is a beautiful spot - great views, a pool, lots of options for things to do both on-site and off. 90 minutes from Acadia National Park and a very short walk to the Maine coastline. The lobster bake that Terra puts on is amazing! The whole trip was great; property is beautiful and well-maintained; and we couldn't give it a higher recommendation!
We gathered at Pine Lodge to celebrate an 85th birthday. Our group of 22 included everyone from young kids (age 6) to teenagers, to parents and grandparents -- and the house was comfortable and enjoyable for all. It's chock full of interesting architectural details and has beautiful ample gathering spaces (kitchen, great room, game room) as well as many different flexible bedroom configurations. We had great ping pong and foosball tournaments, not to mention horseshoes and badminton. The pool was a huge bonus for this area in Maine. Terra and her family hosted us at 2 fantastic meals: a cove picnic and a lobster dinner at the house -- both were terrific and highly recommended for any Pine Lodge guests. The Warner family have a great sense of hospitality. The house is an easy drive into Camden or Belfast for supplies and both are charming towns. We especially enjoyed the hikes in the Camden Hills on a clear day. The whole experience was terrific and the house has great views and atmosphere as advertised. Guests should be aware that few of the bedrooms have window shades or curtains -- this was fine for us since we are mostly early risers, but it is bright on a summer morning!
